KOBE SURPRISE
New York Post ^ | 02/03/2005 | By BARRY BORTNICK in Denver and MARSHA KRANES in N.Y.

February 3, 2005 -- Kobe Bryant's accuser unexpectedly showed up at yesterday's pretrial hearing in her sex-assault civil suit, wearing a wedding ring, with a nervous husband at her side — and a baby on the way. Katelyn Faber, holding hands with her husband, braved a gaggle of media as she walked into the federal courthouse and took her seat before Judge Richard Matsch — no more slipping in through side doors.

It was a clear message from the 20-year-old — who bowed out of her criminal case against Bryant last September — that she's determined to follow through on her civil case, said lawyer Lin Wood.

Both parties are scummy folk.

That about sums it up.

Because of their escapades, they should convict them both of diverting attention from real criminals.

Your name must have been on the Kobe ping list that some of us have.

I'll remove it.

I hate basketball. I can't stand to watch it. And all of their "stars" are a bunch of thugs. I could care less about "heros" or "stars", but I do care about Justice and I hate rape for very, very personal reasons. I would like to see rape be a capital offense because in many ways it is worse than murder.

Because I have such strong feelings about the crime of rape, I also have strong feelings about false accusation of that crime.

Believe me, I want all rapists jailed. Forever. But I also expect and demand that those who call themselves "conservative" deal with facts, and not just "feelings". It is monstrous that there is a presumption of guilt before trial by people on this site. It is also monstrous that those who have read the facts are dismissed as "hero worship" types by those who were convinced of guilt without deeming it important to educate themselves as to the facts of a case.

This woman had sex with a man after she had sex with Kobe Bryant. That fact submarines her entire rape accusation. It is entirely inconsistant with the trauma caused due to a violent act such as rape. It is for that one fact, that she was not raped, that the rape charge was dropped.

Since Kobe had his hands around her throat, it was extremely difficult for the woman to ask him to stop....as Kobe said to the police during his interrogation, "it's my 'thing', it's what I do" and then he gave the police the name and cell phone number of a woman in New York who he does "his thing" with when he is on the east coast.....

While the woman has a promiscuous background and this all began as mutual sex, I don't think she was prepared for the choking part of the sex, which led to the rape charge.

Bryant's hesitancy to agreeing that it was rape was due to his claim that it was "his thing"...

You tell me, is that rape or just a romp?

Oh and go to thesmokinggun.com and you can read his complete police interrogation. In this interrogation, he had no clue he did anything wrong.....he also gave up Shaq, saying whenever Shaq has sex with some woman (not his wife), he just buys her "stuff" to make this go away. Kobe thought he could just make this one go away with "bling" too. No ordinary guy, Kobe.....choking is his "thing" don't you see.

She thinks it was a romp. She dropped the criminal case.

And she will be humiliated in the civil case, as her entire promiscuous background will come out. And, there she'll be, pregnant by a man she conveniently married to gain a shred of credibility before her court date.

Ok, don't. Doesn't change the fact that it's true.

Rape should be a capital offense. It destroys not only the woman, but in many cases her marriage, her ability to have a normal relationship with family and friends, her ability to trust any man in an intimate situation. There are large numbers of rape victims who take years before they can even think about having sex again.

But go ahead and think that because a white woman claimed a black man raped her that you know he did it and know that I am a hero worshipper. Tells me all I need to know about you.

... know that I am a hero worshipper.

Discuss it with OJ Simpson when you get his autograph.

In reading Kobes' statement, it's not admitting rape, just reinterated that she did not view the incident the same as he did. My only problem is when all this took place she said she did not know who Kobe Bryant was.. Whatever, i don't know him personally, but you see him all the time on T.V., you can't but help to know who he is whether you like basketball or not.. Money plays a key point.

How do you know she is a bimbo, her husband is a druggie and her baby will be born on crack?

How do you know that her charges weren't real?

I have no idea if the charges were real or not - but I don't judge based on the media.

You should consider that idea for the future.

but these professional athletes should learn to keep their d*icks in their pants and stop messing around on their wives!

Same goes for politicians (of both parties)
