The pre-spin: Bush will spend about 1/2 the speech on foreign policy, 1/2 on domestic, with heavy emphasis on Social Security reform. It's said he will provide a detailed tutorial on the SS system and its problems with a few details on his personal accounts proposal.
Laura's guests are said to be an Afghan voter and an Iraqi voter (too bad there's no Ukrainian wearing an orange hat!).
Should we start a drinking game on how many times the pool camera swings to Hillary? Hmmm. Probably not...it would likely hamper out typing ability.
Word on the blogs has it that the closing part of the speech is a hum-dinger. Set your VCR's.
Report here on outrageous MediaCrat spin before AND after the SOTU. Pictures and screen caps welcome.
no appology needed this is rapid fire posting.
I love FR.
I sure missed that. After the speech?? It's worth watching it again just to catch that, if it happened as you say. I wonder if he asked him how much longer before he leaves SeeBS.
One of the congress critters from CA just said on CNN that Social Security $$ isn't OUR money; that the money belongs to HER mother and her friends!
oh stop.......puleeze.....you can be intelligent and still be on the wrong side of the tracks.....look at Bill Clinton......what a buffoon but he was a highly intelligent Rhoades scholar......just mean IQ doesn't mean you are right or moral
I understand, but look at how this country was built. Interestingly, the GOP leader in Michigan said several months ago that our economy here was so bad because of high wages. Everyone lashed out at her. Today the University of Michigan released a study that said the Michigan economy is not rebounding because of...high wages (causing business to go to other states and failing to attract new business). Which is all to say, these are complicated times, even with out the immigration question.
Radar O'Reilly: What's a Druid?
Hawkeye: Worship's trees.
He is a good man.
Oh yeah! That's right. He's the only guy who scored a hat trick.
1. Sided with Hanoi
2. Sided with Ortega
3. Sided against the US in Iraq.
Really? Where do you stand on the inked fingers?
Maybe for a moment or two
But then Chriss will go back to his same old liberal tricks
He always does
Man the demons are showcasing this poll with their optimism!
they're a riot!
"Will Teddy Kennedy be a bobble head doll tonight?"
I don't recall seeing ever ready Teddy (aka the Swimmer).
Did anyone else seem him?
As a matter of fact, there seemed to be more than several empty suits (oops I mean seats) on the Dims side. Is that just because they have less #s than us or because some were 'boycotting' or both?
DeLay really nailed Alan's hide to the wall too, it was a beautiful thing.
Disgusting, isn't it? Wow, the Dems are sooooooooo jealous. I love it.
One statement DUBYA made tonight that really caught my attention was "If the IRANIAN people really what Freedom, America stands behind them."
Does this move IRAN up a notch on the "We Don't take any $h!t" List or does this simply mean a diplomatic approach to free yet another country?
I"m so glad Joe Scarborough jumped down Ron Reagan's throat, good and proper! Imagine the pettiness of Matthews and Ron Reagan to try and spoil that genuine, emotional moment.
But I LOVE Ron Reagan being on MSNBC as an analyst. It really makes MSNBC look bad. He's so unqualified, so unworthy, and such a low life, mean-spirited and hateful. I think he's a bitch!
Because, of course, these folks are daft enough to be "used". Typical lefty condescension.
