The pre-spin: Bush will spend about 1/2 the speech on foreign policy, 1/2 on domestic, with heavy emphasis on Social Security reform. It's said he will provide a detailed tutorial on the SS system and its problems with a few details on his personal accounts proposal.
Laura's guests are said to be an Afghan voter and an Iraqi voter (too bad there's no Ukrainian wearing an orange hat!).
Should we start a drinking game on how many times the pool camera swings to Hillary? Hmmm. Probably not...it would likely hamper out typing ability.
Word on the blogs has it that the closing part of the speech is a hum-dinger. Set your VCR's.
Report here on outrageous MediaCrat spin before AND after the SOTU. Pictures and screen caps welcome.
Didn't know there was a thread. LOL
Since I have no adult beverages in this house, I will stay here.
I'm just joining this thread so excuse me if this has been posted:
I heard on the radio that the President planned to introduce an Iraqi citizen who voted. This Iraqi is suppose to stand and wave his/her blue stained finger to the world.
Hope this is true. Can't wait to see it.
Listening closely to John Kerry, most of his statements were pulled out of thin air too. It seems to be a pathological trait of Democrats to lie on the fly.
I found FR when the stress of the campaign was getting to me. These people made me feel so much better. Been here ever since.
Sorry about that; there are 2 states out there; the conservative California and the Loony Lieberal Kalifornica.
BTW, that's Taxachusetts :-)
Ah, Crazy Al.........Remember his arm-waving speech about "Everything UP is Down, and Everything Down is UP"?
No...I didn't know there was one. What all types of events does the Live Thread list cover?
Ya know, it's amazing.
How many years, how many election cycles, have we had to endure the media telling us what wimps, cowards and weaklings all the politicians are when it comes to "the third rail of politics"? All except Clinton, of course, who said he would "Save Social Security First" and then proceeded to never mention it again.
Now we have a president who has courageously campaigned on reforming it, openly discussed personal accounts and will devote a large portion of his SOTU to his proposals.
ANd what do the MediaCrats say now? "He's crazy!".
Who're the pansies now, guys? Hmmmmm?
that's why I LOVED the show. King was so transparently anti everything they believe, and trying so hard to trip them up, on homosexuals, abortion, the environment. King rudely interrupted them, really thought he lobbed em some zingers, but they batted all his foolishs questions outta the park.
I hope that IS true. I hope there's a bunch of blue fingers there tonight.

Can't say I saw it (and it was worth repeating if both of us missed it). Thanks for the heads-up.
Um, live events, like this or breaking news; speeches, stuff like that.
Man, that flag lapel pin is about as big as the Bible Bill used to carry around for the sake of the cameras.
Why can't you use the television, can't you overrule your kid?
It's called the Gore Disconnect...
Leaving for the store right now...lol.
The "lockbox" thing that AlGore floated died on the vine.
It's past time to face reality on Socialist Security.
I hope Bush raises his own ink-stained index finger and then states that any senator who refuses to give their people an opportunity to save money with the private SS plan will be named in his next SOTU speech for all their constiuents to hear!
I hear ya. After listening to even ten minutes of MSM bias and swill, it's good to come here and get a dose of reality and pro-Americanism.
