I WILL REPEAT, A WEEPING STATUE??????????
What does being Catholic have to do with a WEEPING STATUE??????
I AM CATHOLIC and I say if the press gets a hold of that, you CAN forget appealing to public opinion. They will turn Terri's supporters into a BUNCH of religious NUTS!!!!
What a pity that in your ferver you refuse to face THAT REALITY!!!!

Our Lady of Fatima appearance is considered by most Catholics to be a true appearance of Mary, but most non-Catholics do not believe in this.
There are numerous incidents around the world that are believed in by Catholics and others as true appearances of Mary or as signs of Mary, like the "Weeping Statute".
I've heard of this statute before, but like I said, haven't really paid much attention.
I'm sure someone here could tell us the story of the "Weeping Statute." As long as there is proper decorum, I see no problem with having the weeping Mary at the vigils, just not in Terri's rallies, where people of various backgrounds supporting Terri will be present.
Obviously, it gives the Schindler's some peace, or it wouldn't be there.
