More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.
Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.
Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.
Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

AGAIN WE HAVE A NEW RECORD: 15,103 views on the tote board for the Terri Schindler Schiavo January Daily Thread!
The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.
Whenever I quote Dr Hammesfahr I get "He's a quack" and "You believe him?!". The statement that makes the death crowd the craziest (and virulent) is : "Terri's feeding tube is for the convenience of nurses; not because Terri needs it. Terri does not drool. Liquid is the hardest thing to swallow, and she swallows 1½ to 2 liters of saliva a day."
The claim is that she's never been able to swallow nor has she ever been fed by mouth in the last 15 years. Swallowing Jello isn't eating, I was told. And she failed all swallowing tests.
Is there any other info besides Hammesfahrs statements?
The statue isn't even hear yet. WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IS A GIANT STATUE OF JUDGE GREER (like the statue in Iraq). I would like to take a sledgehammer and topple a statue of Greer. He's our very own Saddam, RULER OF ALL, BRINGER OF DEATH.

The chicken is cute. I guess you never saw the chicken. FV has more info. on it. I have seen it on more than one occasion and is the cutest mother chicken I have seen.

After Terri's Law, the chicken Buffy came to Hospice Woodside at gatherings that weren't really vigils, they were just reunion type gatherings of Terri's supporters. Terri's parents do need some comic relief sometimes. They loved Buffy the chicken. Whatever the Schindlers are okay with is fine with me.
They have suffered and need to smile and laugh once in awhile.
Let's not get so off track that we don't stay focused. It's important to keep calling Governor Bush, the Florida House and Florida Senate phone numbers. The legislature me be home now but they have voicemail. Thanks, FV
I don't know the location of all of Terri's medical records but she doesn't get to see the doctors who all have volunteered to help her.
Her Hospice doctor has five pending malpractice cases on the other hand.
Dr. Hammesfahr was nominated for a Nobel Prize by Congressman Bill Young. That's on line if you google for it.

Will the chicken be there, too? (Sorry, I couldn't help it.) I love chickens; don't get me wrong. When I was a kid, we had lots of them and I like the eggs they produce. I just hope that AP doesn't take a picture of the statue and the chicken and send it out to the whole world.

I'm sending this to my pro-life friends in New York State; one friend even has a blog with Terri info.
My friends are busy with jobs, fighting abortion, et al, so I don't want to ask them to do too much. So please tell me if I send them the following, is it the best thing to do??, and if I need my message edited, please let me know.
Also, do you think it is good to call the DEC, and if so, does anyone have their phone # handy?
Anyway, here's my message to my friends:
A call to action is to ask FL politicians to vote/support HB 701 ("withholding or withdrawal of nutrition or hydration from incompetent persons") and add that they should help Terri live (so they will make it retroactive for Terri Shiavo). Some reps have said that they won't make it retroactive for Terri.
We can all call, but if someone has friends in Florida, ask them to call these numbers, plus their individual Senate and House reps.
