TERRI SCHINDLER SCHIAVO FEBRUARY DAILY THREAD 2005: TERRI IS OUR VALENTINE!
Free Republic and various sources | December 30, 2004, January 31, 2005 | Florida Voter

*Michael, HAVE A HEART !!!!!For Valentines Day give Terri back to her MOM & DAD, The Schindlers!!!!!!!!*

The Terri Schindler Schiavo Daily Threads are created month to month as we watch local and national news regarding Terri and her family.

Since Terri's supporters are in every time zone, you may see something FIRST. Please share news with us that you don't see here already. Now, why would you want to do that? Terri's Daily Thread for September/October of 2004 was viewed over 15,000 times. Terri's November Daily Thread was viewed over 6,000 times. December's thread is over 3,000 views. January 2005 Daily Thread was a RECORD HIGH!!!!!!! 15, 103 VIEWS!!!!!!

More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.

Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.

Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.

Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

See Terri's flash movies if you need more information. You can see for yourself that's she's interactive and follows the doctor's instructions.

Visit: http://www.terrisfight.org

NOTE: Terri's December Dailies are noted as a source above. There are lots of important links at the very top of that thread. If you missed Terri's Celebration of Life, you can click on it from there.

AGAIN WE HAVE A NEW RECORD: 15,103 views on the tote board for the Terri Schindler Schiavo January Daily Thread!

The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.

TA In a way I agree with you and in a way I don't. It has been said by people with observations probably better than me, that Teri's Right to Life is a Human Rights Issue and superceeds all religious issues that would divide us.
The Human Rights aspect I do strongly agree with.

However I also recognize that Terri was a practicing Roman Catholic, and although I am NOT Roman Catholic, I am NOT offended by the displays of her religion in the protests. I would hate to see Terri's support become a solely Roman Catholic base, and so I tend to agree with you about too much Catholic symbolism. I'm not offended by Catholics praying the Rosary at the Hospice, that is what Catholics do, and Terri is a Catholic.

But lots of HUGE statutes and an a predominate Roman Catholic message on hand held signs would tend to turn me off. I accept small statues and some signs referencing the Catholic faith, however I would also be offended if Terri's situation was presented as a Catholic struggle.

Terri isn't actually about religion, I even agree that is is a Secular Humanism issue as well as a Religious Issue. Where in our basis of humanity, or our religious faith, do we draw the line at murder? At war point is is ob?

In closing I would say that I am not personally offended by any clergy or members of the Roman Catholic faith becoming involved in the Fight For Terri, however I do think we need persons of other faiths and even un-believers to get equal press.

If there are Catholic status let them be small, let not the Catholic faith become THE message and the life of Terri Schiavo, but is has a place, and to suppress that would be wrong.

IMHO...

Mrs don-o, just back from Mass, said that the readings today were about water. Moses getting water out of the rock and Jesus getting water from the Samaritan woman.

WOW!

I don't have any belief in "Our Lady of Fatima" or the "Weeping Statue", but I don't see any harm in having the statues of Our "Lady of Fatima" or the "Weeping Statue at the vigils.

Let's separate the vigils from the demonstrations around the hospice, the court house, and other places of interest.

And even though I don't believe in the statue's power, I'm still curious. Would love to see it.

My wife said that the priest did not preach on Terri, but we were permitted to hand out flyers after Mass. We copied the one on priestsforlife.org.

Wonder if any priests made the connection in their homilies today?

Good for you. Too bad the priest didn't see fit to support Terri in his sermon.

I agree with you view. I think it is fine at the vigils, not the demonstrations.

But I don't think we have to worry about it becoming a Roman Catholic issue, since Bishop Lynch seems to be on Michael Schiavo's side.

We did not get into a lot of discussion, save for Mrs don-o who talked to a woman who was completely unaware and then horrified when told what the facts of the case are.

We junkies tend to forget that the vast majority of our fellow citizens, including brothers and sisters in Christ, are in that ame boat.

Perhaps, you could talk to your priest before next Sunday. We need to get as many people as possible involved.

You're wrong. The Elian Gonzalez case proves it!!!!

Just because you don't see it that way doesn't mean others don't.

"You're wrong. The Elian Gonzalez case proves it!!!!

I don't see what the Elian Gonzalez case has to do with Terri's. There's plenty of threads on that and Janet Reno is not in power.

Since the statue will be at tonight's vigil according to the post already made.

"Sunday evening the Pilgrim Virgin statue of Fatima will be at the Woodside Hospice at 7 pm. This is the statue commissioned by the Bishop of Fatima October 13, 1947 to travel the world.

We will be having a candlelight prayer service and rosary. Please arrive a little before 7pm and bring your rosary and a candle. (Battery operated candles would be wonderful for the children so they can participate also)"

We will be able to see what the mainstream media does with it. I think it will be ignored and the Schindler's will find some peace in their beliefs.

I am surprised at how much faith they have. They are much better people than I will ever be.

That petition comment looks to me to be a bit of sarcasm. It shows that Greer thinks that he owns the State of Florida and HAS UNDUE INFLUENCE over the US Supreme Court and UNDUE INFLUENCE OVER LAW ENFORCEMENT. All is true. It looks like they are making fun of George Greer imo and Florida.

They had prayer vigils and carried statues and were excoriated by the press for it. At the time I thought people would understand that many hispanics were deeply religious, and such actions were an expression of their faith. I supported such actions at the time. But people in the US and worldwide viewed it negatively. It is ONE of the reasons Elian supporters lost the PR battle.

We Freepers need to stop fear mongering and doubting. CUT IT OUT, PLEASE. Whatever is done to save Terri's life is okay by me as long as it is peaceful which is has been.

If people truly want to help Terri and her family, they WILL NOT BE AFRAID of statues or false stories in the two local newspapers.

The Sunday papers locally WERE FULL OF PROPAGANDA.

Does that fill me full of doubt? NO for the St. Pete Times and NO for the Tampa Tribune.

PLEASE JOIN www.terrisfight.org.

A chicken? Why would anyone bring a chicken? Please fill us in on that story.

I too wasn't please about the statue but after reading the article that it was on tour, I've changed my mind - sort of. The family must take precautions that the media won't label everyone religious freaks and wackos because that is exactly the chink in the armor Felos and Greer are hoping for. Please, everyone, please keep this about Terri and don't let the lying media get distracted and go off on tangents.
