More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.
Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.
Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.
Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.

I heard Terri laugh on a video I watched yesterday -- one I had never seen before.
Terri's dad was joking to her about how when she was a child, she used to make one eye go crosseyed, apparently to tease her mother.
Terri burst out laughing at this! It was wonderful to hear, but I think many people would not understand the sounds she made as laughter.
But in my experience with people who have cerebral palsy, their laughter often sounds exactly like Terri's.
The Advocacy Center Investigation. The Advocacy Center is a seperate agency, distinct from Florida DCF, Department of Children and Families.
Finally somebody posted from a news article about the open investigation of the Advocacy Center. Finally I at least saw the Advocacy Center say something about Terri.
Here is from their e-mail to me on September 24, 2004.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness and interest regarding Ms. Schiavo and the complex ethical issues that she represents. It benefits us all for people such as you to enter into the dialogue about disability issues.
Since the initial withdrawal of hydration and nourishment from Terri Schiavo on Wednesday October 15, 2003 The Advocacy Center has received numerous complaints of possible neglect concerning Ms. Schiavo. Additionally we have received reports that there may have been a change in circumstance regarding Ms. Schiavo's condition since the last full review in State Court.
It is The Advocacy Center's federal mandate (pursuant to 29 U.S.C. §794(a) (doc 1) and 42 U.S.C.§1504 3(a)(2)(B) as the designated Protection and Advocacy Agency for the State of Florida to investigate complaints of abuse and/or neglect against persons with disabilities.
The Center is presently making demands in order to acquire reports and records necessary to undertake a thorough and impartial investigation of complaints we have received.
In order to preserve the integrity of our investigation during its pendency no further statement will be made to the public/ Press.
You all really need to see amdgmary's post about the visit Mr. Schindler and Atty. Gibbs had w/Terri last night. Wow.

I noticed in the medical reports published by the Empire Journal that Terri tracked better with one eye than the other. I was thinking, it may have been because of this lazy eye. I wonder if any of the doctors examining her realized she evidently had a lazy eye.
My son had a lazy eye. Even with an operation and wearing prisms, it can still be detected by a very thorough eye exam. He wanted to be a pilot. They almost passed him, but the lady caught the eye problem when she repeated the test and said he would not be able to be a pilot in the military. He had a girlfriend with this condition and it was noticeable with her. Terri's eye may have gotten worse since the collapse.
Could it possibly have been some kind of disability insurance? Even so, it should have gone to Terri not to MS.

The statement made by Mr. Richard LaBelle in this article must be some sort of cover up too. Mr. LaBelle must be afraid of something to have made this recent statement, explaining the reason for his stonewalling.

This isn't quite accurate. In 1992 a jury of twelve Floridians hearing the law suit of The Schiavo's detailed the long history of dieting, binging and purging. This was attested to by her parents during the trial and supporting evidence from her admission to the the ER on the night of her cardiac arrest. She was severely hypokalemic(low potassium) which is a clinical sign of people with eating disorders like bulimia.

I still don't get it and apparently neither do you. What kind of insurance policy is it that pays the spouce instead of the disabled person if a covered person is disabled? I just never heard of that before. Most Insurance policies pay the disabled person not the spouce. I'm jsut wondering if Ruthie didn't do a poor job on reporting and just has mixed up the details. Her e-mail to me did nto make any sense. Plus who is she? How could she know about this 1 Million Dollar Policy and nobody else reported on it? I mean she woudl have to have a source inside Michaels home or in Felos office to find that out. I do not put a lot of weight into her story.

My Reply: Something is definately "up" with this Advocacy Center. I e-mailed them back and said, without giving any details can you at least give me a percentage of how far along the investigation is. Is it 50% complete, 80% Complete? he answers this question in the e-mail below.

The only % status I am aware of, is that the investigation and case is still open and the main attorney involved is still gathering expert testimony and opinion. I wish I was able to provide more detail Ms. XXX.
Board members e-mail contacts are not provided to staff to distribute, but many of the members were originally cc'd on your first e-mail and those Board members can relate your concerns about the Schiavo investigation to others on the Board that you requested.
Why not send her home with the parents? Fifteen years of institution tub feeding is way too long.

Besides the fact that it is a 4:3 ruling against Watts (better than the other cases for Terri), the first one has an interesting part about Watt's filing:
" Watts also took issue with the fact that court orders only spoke to the feeding tube, but that parties removed both the feeding tube and also denied natural food, the latter a felony under chapter 825 state laws."
I think this is an excellent point he makes.

More Google Searching shows him serving on an Election Committee to help persons with Disabilities Vote, and he was representing "Family Network on Disabilities of Florida Inc." Then if oyu click over there it seems like his wife is the Executive Director. Her name is Jan LaBelle.
Just wonder why Attorney LaBelle says that the investigation could go no further withut Michaels Permission. Gotta find more connections to LaBelle and Greer or Felos.
