TERRI SCHINDLER SCHIAVO FEBRUARY DAILY THREAD 2005: TERRI IS OUR VALENTINE!
Free Republic and various sources | December 30, 2004, January 31, 2005 | Florida Voter

*Michael, HAVE A HEART !!!!!For Valentines Day give Terri back to her MOM & DAD, The Schindlers!!!!!!!!*

The Terri Schindler Schiavo Daily Threads are created month to month as we watch local and national news regarding Terri and her family.

Since Terri's supporters are in every time zone, you may see something FIRST. Please share news with us that you don't see here already. Now, why would you want to do that? Terri's Daily Thread for September/October of 2004 was viewed over 15,000 times. Terri's November Daily Thread was viewed over 6,000 times. December's thread is over 3,000 views. January 2005 Daily Thread was a RECORD HIGH!!!!!!! 15, 103 VIEWS!!!!!!

More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.

Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.

Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.

Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

See Terri's flash movies if you need more information. You can see for yourself that's she's interactive and follows the doctor's instructions.

Visit: http://www.terrisfight.org

NOTE: Terri's December Dailies are noted as a source above. There are lots of important links at the very top of that thread. If you missed Terri's Celebration of Life, you can click on it from there.

AGAIN WE HAVE A NEW RECORD: 15,103 views on the tote board for the Terri Schindler Schiavo January Daily Thread!

The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.

Well, I watched the CNN Paula Zahn show tonight, and the Schindlers were NOT on. I was bummed, but it did look like they had to put in some filler for some reason or another. They had Larry King come on and chit chat it up with Paula when his make-up wasn't finished and his suspenders weren't on. Then they followed up with a loooong promo for Wednesday's show with Tommy Thompson. Looked to me like they were ad-libbing it. Something must have happened.

God is just and my common sense tells me that he would not punish those with a sincere heart, and as I said before, my priest agrees with me.

God is here among us who are praying and working to save Terri's life.

I switched it to the other program and kept going back and forth to Paula's show. I'm glad I didn't watch it.

Mr. Schindler and Mr Gibbs did vey well on this show. It waas a more relaxed atmosphere. They were not rushed for time and did not have to worry about responding to Felos' lies.

Maybe the one on ETWN is on again later.

Jesus loves his mother very much, so asking Our Lady of Lourdes to intervene for Terri is a great thing to do.

It would be a good idea for Freepers to call Laura Ingraham and other talk shows, as well. Sometimes, though, talk shows will only talk with callers about the topic of the hour, but others are more flexible and always have "open lines."

The one caller asked whether he was committing bigamy. He certainly does have a common-law marriage with the other woman.

I wonder what the law is on common-law marriage. I never thought about charging him with bigamy.

This was not 'informed consent' by any stretch of the imagination, but since Greer said this is what it is, it doesn't seem to matter what anyone else says to the contrary. I don't think that if Terri were to be able to tell Judge Greer herself that she wanted to live that he would allow it. He is that determined to see her die.

Another point that needs to be stressed is that there is a huge difference between saying that one would wish to die if everyone had given up hope on therapy and rehabilitation, versus saying that one would wish to die even if loved ones thought therapy would be effective and were willing to provide it.

If Michael had spent the last ten years making real efforts to provide therapy with the aid and supervision of Terri's parents, and if such efforts were becoming sufficiently futile that the parents lost interest, then claims about "Terri's wishes" might start to hold some weight. For Michael to cause Terri's misery, however, and then attempt to use that misery and excuse to "put her out of it" is beyond the pale.

There is no common law marriage in Florida. It isn't recognized. So for now, Michael remains an adulterer only.

Another blog entry [if anyone wants on or off my mini-ping list for my blogging, let me know; I welcome any comments on my writing.]
Who do you believe?

Suppose a person claims to have a Rembrandt painting. A published snapshot of the painting reveals that it looks amazingly like an iMac®, complete with the Apple® logo. Three experts hired by the person claim the painting is genuine; two other experts not hired by the owner claim it is fake, as do a dozen other experts who have not examined the painting but have seen the photo.

Whose judgement of the painting's veracity should be considered more credible--the majority of those who examined the painting itself (who, by a 3-2 margin, claim it genuine), or those who merely saw the photograph (and who say that the photograph, while blurry, is sufficient to show that the painting is clearly a fake).

A photograph of a painting can never provide sufficient evidence to prove its veracity, but can provide plenty of evidence to prove its falsehood.

Michael Schiavo claims that his doctors provide clear and unambiguous evidence that his wife is in a permanent vegetative state. He claims that other doctors who merely examined video of Terri (he's only allowed two doctors not hired by him to examine Terri personally) are in no position to accurately diagnose her. If, however, the video clearly shows behavior which is inconsistent with Florida's definition of "persistent vegetative state", which is more credible: the doctors who say that, or the doctors who pretend the videos don't show what they clearly do?

Since it's against the law to starve an animal and Terri is a human animal, you would think someone could get charged for that, including the lawmakers who proposed it. Jim King's name comes to mind.

It'd be very nice if Jim King stopped eating and drinking if they pull Terri's tube out again. The same goes for Mikey, Felos, Greer, Demers, Baird, and the whole lot of them!

Thanks. I'm wondering if I should try to figure something about Portia (Merchant of Venice). From time to time I think Shakespeare may have laid out the solution to the problem, though I'm not quite sure how best to apply it.

The law, after all, does not allow a person to be denied oral food and hydration in such fashion as to cause death; I think Jeb Bush could very well regard Greer's orders regarding oral feeding to be superceded by those regarding gastrostomic feeding, and therefore void. I have a very strong suspicion that Michael knows that Terri would be capable of accepting food and water by mouth if they were allowed to her, and is very keen on ensuring that nobody ever proves it. If removal of the feeding tube would compel oral feeding (as by law it would appear it should) Michael might find himself somewhat less keen to have the feeding tube removed.

Are familiar with the Merchant of Venice scene I'm thinking of (Act IV scene 1)? Do you think it might be useful?

Even if Terri's mind were no better than that of a dog, that'd be no reason to treat her worse than one.
