"Weis called a brilliant game. Who would have thought the Pats would hold Indy to 3 points last week and score 41 on the Steelers this week?! Amazing."

I have been watching the Patsies for 25 years since I returned from overseas!

I gave up my season tickets (section 309 at Sullivan nee Sheaffer) simply because I could not afford them back in the early 90's.

This team is what I have dreamed of for years.

Go Patsies!

Despite everything, the Steelers were in the position to eke out a W like they did against the Jets. Cowher's crappy coaching made that impossible.

It is the Massachusetts curse. No matter how many Super Bowls the Patriots win they will not be loved or respected because they represent the dreaded snobby liberal Massachusetts.

That was ballgame. The crowd booed... the players got deflated... it put more pressure on Roethlisberger. It decided the game. Cowher was outcoached. He is not an elite coach...as long as he's there, the Steelers won't win the SB.

To not have Hines Ward in that fateful goal line series (even as a decoy) was just unforgivable. To have a vanilla, prevent offense scheme during that fateful series is unforgivable. To not go for it on 4th down was unforgivabel. There is a reason why Cowher has lost 5 out of 6 AFC Champ Games at Home. He chokes.

Oh well. We'll just take another AFC title and be on our way.

My favorite team is whoever plays against the Steelers so this is a great day. Pittburgh played over their heads all year.

Granted, they have a good team, but not the team everyone said they had, or they wouldn't have gotten stomped at home....in the biggest game they played there all year.

I suffered through those awful teams in the early 90's. They are so much fun to watch. Brady was just awesome. I think Vinatieri sent a message with that early big field goal.

When will the Pats get the respect they deserve?!!

Probably never. Give up 3 points to the best offense. Rack up 41 on the best defense. But they are just lucky...and get all the breaks. Right... Go Pats!

Move the same Patriots team to another state, and their fans will grow by three folds.

Don't misunderstand me, the Pats are a great team. But the Steelers had a huge opening, but Cowher chose not to seize the effing moment. He blew it. The Pats are great, but they have been helped by theit opposing coaches not getting the game like Bellichick does. Belichick's dad coached for Navy. Bill brings a war college approach to the game. He understands momentum, psy ops.. he has the killer instinct. Cowher just got out-Generaled.

Are you pissed at Cowher's call?

But Cowher always gets stomped at home in the big games. They need to get a coach in there who knows what it takes to win.

In context you are correct but there is one big difference. Cox has one championship ring and Cowher has none.

Yep, old Adam was left out of the pressure cooker.

Sheesh, the steelers stunk on ice today!

Cowher isn't going to get fired. He took a team that didn't even get close to the playoffs to the AFC championship game with a rookie QB and lost to the best coach in the game today. People don't get fired for that, people get raises for that. Cowher's a good coach, and all this talk about him "losing in the big one", he's lost in a bunch of AFC championships and one superbowl, you need to win at least 1 big game to do that. Give it a rest guys, it was a great season, better than any of us expected back in August, let's hope we survive the off season shuffle and come out strong next year.
