Spent the morning watching the swearing in...wow...now off to spend some money. Mr. C4E and I are going to breakfast prior to my going to the office. Last week spent $700 on car repairs..couldn't wait for today...does it still count? Did close an ebay deal. God bless America..let freedom ring.

Sorry, I must have missed the announcement. Was there an thread for designating this day?
Anyway, since our local United Way stop supporting Boy Scouts, I decided to not even let them count my designated charitable contibutions in their tally. So I'll send in the full-year check to our local Life Care Pregnancy Center today. I already sent in one to another organization earlier this week.
While I'm at it, I'll take the wife and son out to eat.
To: Bush_Democrat
Oh, forgot about that whole protest. Anyway, I had my hair cut and went out to eat.

No worries, you aren't supposed to spend beyond your means, just spend what you can. I would say that spending money on your kitties is a great way to show your support for the Viking Kitties!!!

Just 1 of the MST3K DVD sets? Pshaw! Buy all 6! They're worth it!
I tried spending money today, but Best Buy was out of stock of what I wanted. I ended up buying a pack of grape licorice from the travelling candy guy who stopped by. So, it's my $3.50 vs your $1500.

Haven't been able to tear myself away from the TV and computer, but did buy 6 pairs of
reading glasses (for computer use) on E-Bay.
Take care of those eyes, folks!

This may be a good opportunity to swap favorite author stories and fuel a book buying spree. A freeper recently turned me on to Carl Hiaasen. His suspense novels are the funniest, most enjoyable books I can remember reading in a while. I purchased eight hardcover, first edition copies from alibris.com, four of which were signed by Hiaasen.
Anybody want to share their favorite writers for the cause - 'cause I love to discover a new author.

Sweeet! Sounds great. Yep those new screens on Laptops are something else. I was totally blown away by them.
I was really torn between this one and one of the new mini-Sonys. I figured saving a grand was worth luggin' around the extra weight. Now that I've tried out this computer for most of the day, I think I made a great choice. Good power life (2.5 hours), and a bonus I didn't expect - digital media drive (SD/Memory Stick/MMC/SM) to handle all the cards from my cameras, plus I never knew my video camera has a firewire port. I keep telling myself to play with this stuff tomorrow and go out and buy some accessories for the new laptop.

I have already made plans to take my wife and two daughters out to a nice dinner. After dinner, my wife and I will share a bottle (or two?) of some decent, expensive wine.
