All systems are go for the D.C. Chapter's American Sector on the Inaugural Parade route.
The weather is cold, but warmer than the past few days. The sun is peaking through the clouds. Snow covers the sidewalks, but Pennsylvania Avenue has been cleared.
The barricades are up everywhere. Small groups of people are walking around checking things out.
I did a recon last night with BufordP after the Freeper dinner. ANSWER has their bleachers set up on John Marshall Plaza at the starting point for the parade at 4th St. and Pennsylvania Ave. They also have a stage and speaker risers right on the sidewalk at Pennsylvania Ave.
For all their wailing about the Presidential Inaugural Committee denying the public access to the sidewalk on Pennsylvania Ave., ANSWER has taken up most of the sidewalk space themselves with their stage and sound equipment, thereby denying their own people access to the sidewalk on Pennsylvania Ave. I hope the courts take that hypocriscy into account if their case is appealed.
Snow covered most of the American Sector last night. For those not sure where we'll be today, here's the info:
The northeast corner of 7th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. Look for Freepers wearing white Pajama Patrol badge t-shirts with the word 'Marshal' in red letters on the back.
We'll be there from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. We'll have a rally from 10:30 to 11:30. After that, we'll line the parade route in our permitted area on the same block, just a few feet down on the north side of the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
We'll be calling in updates throughout the day.

Kiss Laura for me. And slap a commie for me too.
Fox reporter gonna join you?
BUMP!
Be careful out there.
A liberal DC judge has ordered that all security information for the Inaugural be turned over to a terrorist group.

I thought about you all last night when the news mentioned snow, wondering if there was a FReeper shoveling party hard at work :) Make sure there is extra room in your parade location because you will have a lot of us there with you in spirit!
Dunno. Wasn't able to ask them. Plenty of press releases went out yesterday.
Whoo Hoo!
Have fun.
D.C. looks so pretty with the snow cover (easy for me to say from afar)and looks symbolic somehow. Clean and fresh.
No shoveling party today. But it should melt away as the day goes on.
That's good..May all go well today for you all.
So, ok, my glowing nomination didn't get an Eagle award for the DC chapter in 2004, but let's not forget the magnificent job they're doing now in 2005 when it comes time to vote again 11 months from now! (Not to say the winners were undeserving; quite the contrary, there were tough choices. I guess you could say this was one time that Eagles flocked).
I just wanted to report that we just FREEPED Chris Mathews to his face in front of about 75 people!
I saw him drive up and get out of his car, then stand opposite the corner I was on. I saw him start to head to the crowd awaiting the security entrance when I shouted out to him:
Hey, Chris Matthews! When are you going to apologize to Michelle Malkin?
When are you going to treat a man like the way you treat women? Why are you such a coward that you have to beat up a little woman?
He responded that I was crazy, said something I didnt hear, and the crowd chuckled.
However, one woman came over to me and thanked me for saying that to him. Also, before I entered Kristinn's building, the kind gentleman who let us in told me he saw me say it also, and he said that I did a good thing for telling him off!
FREEPERS RULE!!
Race...way to go!!!...wish I could have seen that!......stay safe.
Stay Safe!
Thank you, D.C. Chapter Freepers and fellow Freepers joining you today, for so honorably representing all us Freepers unable to attend. May God Bless You All and Keep You Safe.

Bump!
BUMP to the freep, Race!
