55th Inauguration And Day's Events - Live Thread
I agree with Peggy, though. GREAT speech. History will regard this President as one of America's most eloquent speakers..........because of what he SAYS, and the passion with which he says it.
Thanks
I did--and I just LOVED IT!!!! GLOAT--GLOAT--GLOAT!!!
Finally moved a little TV into the office and CBS is the only station I can get. LOLOL.....Rather trying so very hard not to appear biased. He seems like he's choking before every sentence. LOLOL
LOL. Well, it's a free country! God bless America :)
CODE PINK GIVES $600,000 TO THE 'OTHER SIDE' IN FALLUJAH (TREASON ALERT!) FR 1-1-05
REP. HENRY WAXMAN INVOLVED IN CODE PINK'S AID TO THE 'OTHER SIDE' IN FALLUJAH FR 1-2-05
Ah! I suspected something as much.
The real fight, in the end, will be about:
That edifice of character is built in families, supported by communities with standards, and sustained in our national life by the truths of Sinai.....
Surprised? Betcha you're not hearing that discussed/analyzed....
(just the way the arch-deceiver has planned it out)
Yes, we must keep in mind that Islam is just another form of paganism - no better and only somewhat worse than our 'homegrown' paganism so prevalent at Harvard and other centers of 'learning' and so well displayed night after night on our televisions.
God will indeed deal with all forms of paganism in His own time.
I am happy :}}}}} America strong President again America good strong country again is strong that is good very very good!!!!! I do like America President that person help America strong country!!!! Thank you
You're thinking of Pavlov and his dogs whom he conditioned to drool by just the ringing of a feeding bell. Pretty apt analogy.
This forum tolerates increasingly despicable anti-Muslim bigotry, so it shouldn't be a surprise when it rears its ugly head at very first opportunity. Inaugural or not.
When Bush outlines his guest worker visa reform proposal at the SOTU, the same interchangable knuckleheads will rush into the forum with mouths frothing over that.
What a great day today. Very memorable! Regards.
You could add that his soft voice just makes it more passionate than if he raised it for emphasis!
Because "he's not a crook"?
LOL, I see you noticed that too.
I stand by my words. Who made you the hall monitor today?
I've always supported President Bush. Unfortunately, Inauguration Speeches are for the Ages. He could have said this in any other speech he made (and quite often does). Today, this is one part that should have been left out. This was an American speech, with an American vision. The Koran has absolutely nothing to do with historic American values, freedom or liberty - most of which this speech was about. Stuffing it in denigrated an otherwise grand speech by a great President.
It was a real t*rd in the punchbowl.
It was a stunning speech, very inspired and filled with the reasons that I don't believe I will see a greater President in my lifetime.
You seem to forget, it's the religion of peace that wants to do away with the Christian beliefs, and install islam in it's stead. If you are comfortable with that, then you are comfortable with that. As for me...I am not comfortable with it and will speak out each time it is brought up.
I would call him being very diplomatic.
That's what all the dems have been badgering him about since he started running 5 years ago.
You and I and others know the speech was wonderful and let's just ignore the bashers today.
