"NOT ONE DAMN DIME DAY
Since our leaders don't have the moral courage to speak out against the war in Iraq, Inauguration Day, Thursday, January 20th, 2005 is "Not One Damn Dime Day" in America.
On "Not One Damn Dime Day" those who oppose what is happening in our name in Iraq can speak up with a 24-hour national boycott of all forms of consumer spending.
During "Not One Damn Dime Day" please don't spend money, and don't use your credit card. Not one damn dime for gasoline. Not one damn dime for necessities or for impulse purchases. Nor toll/cab/bus or train ride money exchanges. Not one damn dime for anything for 24 hours.
On "Not One Damn Dime Day," please boycott Walmart, KMart and Target. Please don't go to the mall or the local convenience store. Please don't buy any fast food (or any groceries at all for that matter).
For 24 hours, please do what you can to shut the retail economy down. The object is simple. Remind the people in power that the war in Iraq is immoral and illegal; that they are responsible for starting it and that it is their responsibility to stop it."
This is an anonymous letter that has been circulating the net and been posted on many left wing websites (the idea has been attributed to Bill Moyers). I just thought I'd pass the info along to my fellow Freepers. The left hopes to strike a blow to the U.S. economy with a 24 hour boycott beginning midnight tonight, and I think it would be great if we do everything we can to counter this.
So Freepers, if you've been saving up for a new TV, or any big purchase, or if you just need an oil change or a fresh tank of gas, try to buy it tomorrow. Get out there and support American businesses on inauguration day, and help cancel out this pathetic leftist attempt to hurt our economy.
11 to 14 Master, for mine is a F250 Super Duty 4X4
I'm shopping heavily at WalMart tomorrow - it'll be a double-whammy. I'll spend, and I'll do it at the store that the liberals hate the most. Bwwahhhaaaahaaahaa....
We've been washing dishes by hand for three weeks just so I can get the new dishwasher Tomorrow, plus I've been carrying a gallon of gas in the trunk for three days just in case I run out before tomorrow morning. Eat it with a rusty spoon, commies!
LOL typo of the day
I get the feeling that the lines at the Starbucks tomorrow here in oh-so-liberal Boston are still going to be out the door with Birkenstock-clad, iMac-carrying, latte-sipping yuppies just like any other day. And they will probably be snapping up the overpriced Ray Charles CDs too. Damn hypocrites!
I will extra money foolishly tomorrow.
The Lefty wackos should try holding in their breath til they turn blue and keel over.
Pray for W and Our Troops
LOL!!! My liberal professor told me she wasn't coming in tomorrow because she was boycotting Bush. I told her how stupid she was being!
Looks like I'm going to have to do something to boost the US economy tomorrow, by doing a wee bit of retail therapy online.
Eegits, arent they? :)
Woo Hoo! Gotta go out and spend some money! Our youngest son needs a new winter jacket and a belt. I'm sure I can find some other stuff. ;o)
Splurge Thursday for me.
I'm going to get some gas for my SUV and some food supplies.
CHARGE! We are all are going out to lunch and then to the mall for the occasion!
I'm mighty impressed with your dedication. Get on with your bad self!
I'm not only goin' to shop ... I think I'll do it at Wal-Mart!
Tomorrow, I'm going to the Wal-Mart gas station...then the grocery store...then the department store. ;)
