I caught the tail end of the report, but I think the FOX reporter said "210,000 dead in Indonesia, 272,000 in the region".

NO WAY our troops should stay there unless they're armed. There could be a massacre or large-scale capture if they do.

I don't think our troops should go anywhere unarmed!

They also said it would be one of the Top 5 natural disasters in the last 300 years, not #1.

Several floods in China easily top the 2004 tsunami.

Agreed. Our soldiers sailors marines and airmen should, IMO, never deploy unarmed. This kind of thing drives me nuts.

I agree. OVER MY DEAD BODY WOULD I EVER GIVE UP MY GUN. This is what the US military should say to them.

And to think we also lucked out, too. If the earthquake had just happened two hours later the total death toll could have been triple what we have now because there would have been a lot more people on the beaches in the countries affected.

By the way, given DigitalGlobe's Quickbird images of Banda Aceh and its complete devastation I'm not surprised that the death toll on Sumatra may reach 210,000.

Its time for Bush to make an announcement! He should have stayed with his 15 Million! Charities must stop giving now! We must be armed there. These savages don't deserve one dime! Let the Muslums take care of their own. Take back the money and get the hell out of there. The whole world has come to their rescue and they give us the "finger". The Bible tells us to turn our backs on evil!
