Kid Rock, the vulgar rock-rapper who initially had been lined up to headline the youth concert next week as part of the inauguration festivities for President Bush, will not be apppearing after all. "He's not performing," a spokesman for the Presidential Inauguration Committee confirmed for WND. No further information about the cancellation of Kid Rock was available at press time. Word that the rapper will not join JoJo and Hilary Duff as performers at the Jan. 18 concert, which will be hosted by Bush twins Barbara and Jenna, comes after WorldNetDaily and other outlets publicized the fact that the committee was planning to feature Kid Rock, which caused several pro-family organizations to ask their supporters to protest his appearance. Or La Grange. ;)
You are one scary person.
I enjoyed Kid Rock's video with Sheryl Crowe fro approx. three years ago, and his appearance in Gretchen Wilson's "Redneck Woman" video. He has his fan base. The Republican Party should find a place for him somewhere in the Inauguration.
Yes, I know about his lyric attacking Barbara Bush. I didn't say the man was perfect.
Nice non-apology. I have been polite, and you, sir, are rude. Since you don't understand how to be polite, let me say:
Buzz off.
To pinko pimps and whores, yes.
All law comes from morality. All morality comes from God.
How about you judge people individually instead?
Well, if the TV guide had said something about Janet flashing her breast, maybe some would have changed the channel, lol. As it was it was a bit of a surprise. How do you change the channel when you don't know ahead of time?
I'm not gonna fight with you.
"Government is entirely about enforcing morality."
Does anyone else have a huge problem with this, or just me?
Morality can not be enforced. A moral choice must be, by definition and above all else, a free choice. Take away freedom to make a choice and you take away all possibility of making a moral choice. Freedom is a necessary precondition of ANY choice, let alone MORAL choice.
Enforced morality is not morality at all. It is only involuntary conformity to someone else's norms, and nothing else.
Government is about enforcing CONTRACTS.
I get touchy when people compare Christians to the Taliban. It's something the left does. Something Communists do.
Don't challenge him like that. The ease of the self-righteous broadbrush makes comdemnation so much easier.
He's not contrary to Republican values, and no, no he wouldn't have been an embarrassment. I guess the GOP wants to perpetuate the stereotype of being the party of old rich guys.
The fact that the government decrees it does not make it righteous.
They're "mad" because the opinion of so-called "bible-thumpers," "Talibanesque Christians," and "fuddy-duddies" coincided with that of George W. Bush on the matter of the appropriateness of Kid Rock performing at the White House Presidential Inaugural.
If they're THAT teed off about, maybe they ought to begin emailing the White House or Freeping the Inaugural over it.
Wrong answer.
So gun grabbing laws are moral? Is censoring religion moral?
No. That may be the law, but it is an ass, and certainly not moral.
