No Kid Rock at Bush concert
Committee backs off plan to feature rapper after pro-family Americans express outrage

Kid Rock, the vulgar rock-rapper who initially had been lined up to headline the youth concert next week as part of the inauguration festivities for President Bush, will not be apppearing after all.

"He's not performing," a spokesman for the Presidential Inauguration Committee confirmed for WND.

No further information about the cancellation of Kid Rock was available at press time.

Word that the rapper will not join JoJo and Hilary Duff as performers at the Jan. 18 concert, which will be hosted by Bush twins Barbara and Jenna, comes after WorldNetDaily and other outlets publicized the fact that the committee was planning to feature Kid Rock, which caused several pro-family organizations to ask their supporters to protest his appearance.

The Pimp and Whore image of the Democrat Party is nothing I want to emulate.

The natural history of social movements, written about in "Social Problems as Social Movements," Philadelphia: J. B. Lippincott, 1975. Armaud Mauss was (perhaps still is?) a sociologist. After a countermovement makes gains within society, it tends to fragment and lose members, until only the most radical members remain.

MAUSS was (is) a sociologist, NOT A SOCIALIST ;;;DDD for the comprehension impaired. I'm not sure, but I think he may have been a Mormon.

Why should the opinion of lawless pimps and whores rule over us? Government is entirely about enforcing morality.

Amen for no Ann Coulter pictures! If I want to see a starving, malnourished body, I'll watch some National Geographic story about Ethiopia.

I'll second that.

"He also makes fun of Laura Bush in one of his songs."

No, he referred to Barbara Bush as a frumpy old woman, more or less, in a song that was released in 1989 or 1990.

In the same song he said that "Tipper Gore is my highest paid wh*re," for what it's worth.

It's not supposed to. That's the point. Just because some liberal whack job thinks it's okay doesn't mean we should take a page out of their book, either.

I notice you didn't apologize for your smear, so I suggest you stay far away from me.

Around here in the summertime one of our favorite pasttimes is BBQ's (yeah, people in Upstate NY have BBQ parties). A lot of times people want our band to come along and play a set or something, even if it's only with a couple of acoustic guitars.

I never cease to be amazed at the reaction we get when we bust out a rockin country version of "Gin And Juice". The Austin TX band The Gourds did a really good hillbilly version of it, we kind of take it to the next level.

"Later on that day
My homey Dr. Dre
came by with a gang of Tanqueray
And a fat ass J,
of some bubonic chronic you know it made me choke
I had to back up off of it, this ain't no joke
I had to sit my cup of gin down

Yeah, Tanqueray and chronic, yes I'm f****d up now!!!"

I have a feeling he would have been thrilled to be included, and would have kept his appearance 'clean'.

Certainly not out of the realm of possibility, save for those people whose heads are filled with cement.

The liberal whackjobs are the ones who thinks Kid Rock defiling women and grabbing his crotch is entertainment.

Well said, my brother. The wisdom of the Koran runs deep in your blood.

Spoken like a true disciple of Allah and his servant Mohammed (praised be his name).

What a load of malarkey. Try reading my posts on this thread. There are several, they are consistent, and nothing like you portray them. Nice how you focus on a single word I used, ignore all the rest of my statements that completely contradicts your false assertions.

Ya know, I used to respect you for your numerous postings exposing the communist movement in all its manifestations in Latin America. A shame that your consistent overreaction ends up tainting that work.

"They say we are not good Christians if we point out what is wrong, but they have no problem violating their own rules about judging others when they judge us."

You forgot other details:

Certain participants have pathologically LIED, and twisted and distorted what exactly is THE actual issue at hand.

Some also claim some Grand Conspiracy by "Bible-Thumpers" -- which would be quite hilarious if they weren't dead serious about their delusions.

Yep, hypocrisy and paranoia run amok on yet one more Kid Rock thread...

Only those whining detractors dismiss the BIG news here:

PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH HAS DECIDED KID ROCK WILL NOT BE PERFORMING AT HIS INAUGURAL (for whatever reason he deemed fit)

I don't want to hear from someone who implies that I am a whore and doesn't apologize. If you don't-even when it's been called to your attention, I presume you mean it.

Don't post to me again.

Right-o. President Bush made a decision. So what are these people mad about exactly?

I think he should have been asked to play something innocuous and he would have complied I'm sure. His ballads are nice to me anyhow.

He has stood up for the troops and the President and deserves better.

This is a rare occasion where I break with my culture war conservative brethren. They seem just as sanctimonious over this as some social lib freepers with whom I spar constantly do over culture issues....and that is a shame.

I mean let's get real.

Is ZZ TOP (big pro-gun Bushmen) gonna play TubeSnake Boogie or Pearl Necklace?

Or would my dear Uncle Ted play Cat Scratch Fever or Wang Dang Sweet P**ntang if asked not to?

Kid deserves to be there. I loathe hip-hop but I own Cowboy...I confess...and I like it...BullGod and that piano number too.

...so shoot me.

You nailed it, and the vast majority agree with you.

Can you further explain "vast majority"?
