Kid Rock, the vulgar rock-rapper who initially had been lined up to headline the youth concert next week as part of the inauguration festivities for President Bush, will not be apppearing after all. "He's not performing," a spokesman for the Presidential Inauguration Committee confirmed for WND. No further information about the cancellation of Kid Rock was available at press time. Word that the rapper will not join JoJo and Hilary Duff as performers at the Jan. 18 concert, which will be hosted by Bush twins Barbara and Jenna, comes after WorldNetDaily and other outlets publicized the fact that the committee was planning to feature Kid Rock, which caused several pro-family organizations to ask their supporters to protest his appearance. I guess I wasn't clear about what I was trying to say. My apologies.
I was more or less trying to say that I'm seeing stuff happen that I'm pretty sure was going on before the Dems crashed and burned. I don't want to see that happen to the GOP, is all.
I can't see it! What is it?
That's the gayest thing I've ever read.
Hm, I didn't think of that. But maybe the point is the folks doing the inviting should be much more careful about it so they don't have to embarrass themselves this way again in the future.
I suspect President Bush didn't realize how poorly KR's views on morality mesh with his own until very recently; thus, the last-minute yank.
Just reminds me that Hillary has fat legs.
I do. Huh.
Well...as El Rushbo always says...
"People judge you by the way you speak....."
Nuff said.
You sure it's a GUY?
It's a woman for sure.
An older`woman who thinks she will literally die if she has an o****m.
Talk about fear.
"Indecency" is 100% subjective (FCC). It's different than "obscenity".
The GOP "Big Tent" has been fairly open and tolerant of pro-"choice" Pubbies AND RINOs; And it's the "Country Club" Republicans who are THE "moderates" of the party.
Most often true, but I was mentioning the 'image' that many have of the GOP.
it's rather the question of propriety of such a performer at a venue like THE WHITE HOUSE.
Inviting and disinviting after the Don Wildmons had a fit isn't right. Either he shouldn't have been invited in the first place, or should still be there if he agrees to perform an appropiate song. ("I am" for example is clean)
Do you really believe young people in this country are basing their future vote on whether Kid Rock performs at the Presidential Inaugural?
No, but it reinforces the image problems that are tough to break.
LOL!
Now that you mention it...lol.
To all liberals:
ROFLOLOL!!!!!!
Tweak a liberal every day!! Soooo much fun!!
Stepped on some tootsies there? LOLOL!!
If you're a liberal - and if you like scum lyrics like Kid Rock's - then I don't care a twit what you think of me. I don't live here 24/7 like you do.
Rubber duckie lib'ral, you're the one!!
You're the one that's so much fun!!
Tweak the nosie, you'll get a squeak every time!!!
ROFLOL!!!
See y'all.....careful not to get sucked down into the liberal gutter when your bath tub drains tonight. ;o)
Oh, how could we have forgotten; and the "I hate Bush" immigrationista went BEZERK then, too!!!!
Most music produced these days is crap. Then again, I'm just an Old Fart of 28.
I know, I watch football y'know. Is it just me or does something of his seem to always be playing at gentlemen's clubs?
He wouldn't do that. Bush's detractors would do that.
How about a smart Christian rock band?
Well, just because (to my knowlege) KR never actively campaigned for Bush doesn't mean he didn't (in small part) help some folks see the party as something other than just social conservatives, and that appealed to them...possibly enough to vote.
In any event, he was certainly outspoken about supporting the troops, ect. I think it's rude to invite someone to a party (which I have said I am not sure happened, btw) and then disinvite him when someone is offended. That's pretty rude.
