Kid Rock, the vulgar rock-rapper who initially had been lined up to headline the youth concert next week as part of the inauguration festivities for President Bush, will not be apppearing after all. "He's not performing," a spokesman for the Presidential Inauguration Committee confirmed for WND. No further information about the cancellation of Kid Rock was available at press time. Word that the rapper will not join JoJo and Hilary Duff as performers at the Jan. 18 concert, which will be hosted by Bush twins Barbara and Jenna, comes after WorldNetDaily and other outlets publicized the fact that the committee was planning to feature Kid Rock, which caused several pro-family organizations to ask their supporters to protest his appearance. I tend to live FOR facts and documentation.
Your opinons of the political persuasions of other is just that YOUR OPINION.....not a fact or documentation.......and you know what is said about opinions.
You are being insulting and you know you are.
He's probably multi-tasking on a porno site! LOL
I think you are misunderstanding what at least I am trying to say.
I think you have a perfect right to complain! I wouldn't say otherwise. What you don't have a right to do is DICTATE to someone else what they may or may not watch, listen to, ect. You can disagree about whether or not they are appropriate for a particular venue, but you MAY NOT tell someone else what they CAN do!!
Continue your boycotts! I do the same for folks I don't agree with, because I don't want to see more of it, and I vote with my pocketbook. If I don't like trash, I won't watch trash. Why is this so hard to understand? Someone else may think what you consider good, wholesome entertainment to be offensive. What about what they think? Do you get to cram your preferences down their throats, any more than they have that right? NO!! You can try to persuade them that your values are better, and they have to tolerate you expressing both your preferences and your opinions, and you have to tolerate theirs, as well. Toleration is not acceptance. We put up with smut being produced because the First Amendment says we must, not because we personally tolerate or condone it.
You have a right to have good wholesome entertainment, and someone else has a right to listen to something that is nasty. I personally don't like a great deal of the stuff Kid Rock has put out, but I'm not going to tell someone they can't listen to it, at event someone else has planned. I am a guest! If I don't like what's on the menu, entertainment wise, I LEAVE. If asked, I will gladly explain why. If they told me who was going to be there, and I didn't like them, but I showed up anyway, than who am I to complain if I don't like it? I knew it, and I showed up anyway, so I forfeit my right to complain. I had a chance to decline, and I don't have the right to tell them they can't provide the entertainment of their choice.
You owe me a keyboard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"There is so much wrong with the rest of your post, I don't know where to begin."
Translation: you can't.
That should make him throw the Bible at me he has been waving in the air for the last hour! And once I get it I'm not giving it back, he misuses it. lol

Put me on, partner.
My tongue is rarely far from my cheek.
Facts.....are really nifty if you care about them. ;o)
The younger generation is becoming more conservative. :o) Try arguing with the facts:

MORE CONSERVATIVE YOUNGER GENERATION COULD MEAN LESS LIBERAL SOCIETY
California/Berkeley Survey may herald shift in "culture wars" over family values
SAN FRANCISCO, September 25, 2002 (LSN.ca) - A new survey of American youth
has found surprising support for school prayer, federal aid to faith-based charities, pro-life politicians and even government restriction of abortion. The findings, from the University of California/Berkeley Survey Research Center and funded by Pew Charitable Trusts, also found that youth are less likely to attend religious services or see religion as a guide to daily life.
The survey found youth to be even more liberal than adults on race and on government spending. But, "Fifty-nine percent of adults ages 27 to 59 want public schools to allow prayer at official school activities, such as commencements," says a Berkeley press release. "Among teenagers, 69 percent support school prayer. ... Government restrictions on abortion are supported by 34 percent of adults over 26, while about 44 percent of youths ages 15 to 22 support such restrictions."
The results may herald a shift in America's "culture wars" over family values, survey director Douglas Strand suggested. He said the rise of a new generation "may transform American public opinion as a whole toward becoming more conservative on abortion" -- a reminder that there is a season for everything, even liberal relativistic values.

"You are ignorant and no nothing about Kid Rock."
I 'no' more about Kid Crock than you know about proper word usage, apparently.
It my responsibility as a parent to tell my children what is acceptable and what is not. If they hear things I don't approve of from the neighbor's children, then they won't be permitted to play with them. I'm not going to march over to my neighbor's house and tell them that their permissiveness as parents is corrupting my kids.
I am lucky enough to be staying home with my children, and believe you me, if it's necessary, I'll teach them at home if I think they are going astray. It's not anyone else's job to take responsibilty for what my children learn.
I want them to be good, well-behaved, God-fearing children that understand that smut is not tolerated in our home, and is not to be repeated by them. I will be happy to explain to them why I think such things are inappropriate for them. I don't need you to tell them what is and isn't appropriate...unlike some parents (and I am NOT saying you are one, so don't go there) I don't expect the schools, the media, athletes or artists to tell my kids how to live. I am their biggest role model, and if I continually demonstrate the values I want them to have themselves, then it's much more likely they will emulate me, rather than Kid Rock or the neighbor's kids.
Thank you!
Young people today are becoming more conservative, but they're not becoming more prudish. Confuse those two at your peril.
Shoot, hang out at a high school, hidden of course.
"Dirty words" have been used in movies and music for over four decades. Even before that, they were in WIDE use in the military and in certain places (read: everywhere there wasn't recording media). If they actually strike you as so bad, you have lead too sheltered a life.
All of which misses the point: Kid Rock would no more perform that song at an Inaugural Ball than he would go naked camping in ANWR in winter. You are using something he WOULDN'T do to claim he is unfit to be booked for the event, which is nonsensical.
Your welcome, Did it play? I'm new at posting audio.
1)holier than thou and
2)fuddy duddy
is
3)a gross exaggeration.
Frankly, those lyrics are soooooo bad, it is your opinion, in my opinion, which is extreme.
I didn't say differently.............and, that was not what I was referring to, as you know.
You're killing me, FRiend...........just killing me!!!!!
