TV has always gravitated to sexy women. Especially when one Weather Channel infobabe named Marny Stanier Midkiff was given the boot for being too old. Rush has posed the age-old question: how perfect do we want 'em? Just when HDTV now here, will place even more of a premium on looks. If you think it stops with infobabes, you couldn't be more wrong. Just imagine what politicians are going to do to look their best.

They've got to keep the 'babe' in infobabe.

Marny Stanier is every bit as appealing as the weather chicks they got now...

THE WEATHER CHANNEL PUSHES THE GLOBAL WARMING SCAM EVERY CHANCE IT GETS. Our local stations do a lot better job about OUR weather. I don't trust their motives about ANYthing.

Politutes will preen all the more. Based on John F-ing Kerry's use of Botox alone, I am going to buy some stock in companies that manufacture Botox - the use of such items may increase exponentially.

Permit me to play devil's advocate here. I'll admit that I watch a local morning news show here in Baltimore because the anchorwoman (Jennifer Desmarais) is incredibly gorgeous.
At the same token, I'll watch a late night new show just to catch the editorials by Mark Hyman.

I dont know...
if you want the real deal you go to
www.noaa.gov
or
nws.noaa.gov
It is what all these other weather websites pull from anyway....although they all pontificate on what NOAA puts out....

Now, you people who think two-tone green leisure suits from Kmart are cool,If Snoop Dogg, P. Diddy, and Usher all started wearing green leisure suits from Kmart, these green leisure suits would be considered cool.

Midkiff started 16 years prior, when she was 25. She probably didn't get the job then because of her meteorology expertise. She should give it a rest. She had 16 years of making good money from reading a teleprompter

Rush's right about HDTV. Have one for about 8 months now and those nature shows are something. And, the NFL is better than being there (almost).

You don't need to be beautiful to be a woman on TV..... You only need to be blonde and blue eyed.
Ginny? Moos on CNN proved that. Ugly as warmed over sin, but blonde and blue eyed and on tv.

Rush is right about HD: The difference is stunning. Even though I've long been a techno-freak, I had largely ignored all the hoopla over hi-def until two years ago. It was so expensive and I had a hard time envisioning how a picture could be that much better. Then I saw it. Fell in love. The difference is dramatic; just wish the programming would increase and improve at a little faster clip.

I saw that story on mickey rooney. I also read where he said: "The public deserves to see this!" Excuse meeeeeee? It's bad enough listening to your acting and looking at your face mickey...what in the world would make you think we want or deserve to see your old butt. Not I says I! No Thank you. Do yourself and all of us a favor Mickey...keep your towel on.

I'm still trying to figure which set up I'll go with, but I got a very powerful HD Projector.
You can't believe the quality of the picture, even when it is 15 feet wide.
You can't hide anything with a large screen HD.
It's entertainment, so if you aren't what people want to watch, then you are gone.
