How do I deal with a real Hillary Clinton sycophant in my house? I'm hiding in my bathroom and am so ashamed. I've avoiding talking so as not to start a fight.

Don't ask me about my pneumonia...it's making me very cranky.)
Our company, which allows personal emails, forbids little ditties tagged on to your your email name. We voted (20,000+) and agreed that these little sayings were "cute", but silly.

I never start a political fight. I just end them. Usually, they know better than to bring up politics in an antagonistic manner to me again.
Winning a political fight is pretty simple... Just talk with like minded individuals for a while in a free exchange of ideas. Learn when to be assertive and when to concede a point. After all of that practice, demolishing a liberal is easy (Just not on the Internet. Arguing politics over the Internet creates a situation where it is nearly impossible to win. Fair warning).
Good luck.

I use to have to do that, but we would be at their house for Christmas eve lunch. No matter how I would try not to talk politics they would challenge me about being conservative.
Finally my husband just stopped accepting their invitations to lunch. Now that my husband has passed away they are sweet enough to continue to invite me this year, but I declined for many reasons other than their politics, I have the flu and was behind in getting ready for my horde of family to descend on me the next day. It's hard to deal with people you really like, but who are just rabid liberals with pictures of Clinton and Gore on their walls.

Next time be prepared. Have you considered hanging a portrait of a Republican politician you admire (President Reagan maybe?) in your home where guests will see it? That would quietly let them know not to bring up leftwing politics.

And here I had gone all last Christmas family gathering ignoring his Dennis Kucinish t-shirt. LOL
Rumor has it he is taking off to D.C. to protest the inauguration.

"She's the mom of my sister's friend and was invited."oooohhh - too easy.
When the lib says something stupid, (and she will), just turn to her daughter and say:
"Honey, your mom is just so cute with all that liberal hippy stuff, was she one of those flower child protesters or a 'Hare Krishna' peacenik?"
Then, get ready for the fun to start.

This happened to me at Thanksgiving....I couldn't keep my mouth shut...I stepped all over him. I called him a Rat, delusional...I couldn't stop.
I called him delusional when he said this country was split down the middle...I told him when a party owns the WH, Senate, House and almost all governorships...how can you say this country is split. Only one way YOU'RE F'IN delusional. I also showed him the map of the USA-Bush Country versus Rat Country...ask him, do you see a split country, if you do then you're delusional. I told him that as long as you continue to think like this...you'll never win a major election again.
So maybe it's a good idea you stay in your delusional state!!!

Personally, I have a 10 minute question and answer period. If the individual cannot respond in a respnsible intellectually factoid, I ask them to leave. Don't hide in the tiolet. Remind them on the way out, that given theri reasoning, they will be hiding in a prison, waiting in a rape room or a torture chamber; or both.

Just push her buttons and she will expose herself as she really is....
Her hatred towards republicans will come out and she may make such a scene that she will not be invited again...
Happened in my family once where everyone thought a cousin was such a "nice guy" until one day some of us got really tired of his sanctimonious bull that we got him to explode to a point where he said things he shouldn't have. He was never invited again to this home and now the rest of his family and friends know what he thinks of us republicans. and just keep saying 4 more years!!

I know it's looong after the "festivities"...
Work is ONE venue, but your home is quite another. Next time Cy, remind your sister that since YOU are hosting the party, it's YOUR ground-rules. Clue her in from now on in.
There is nothing worst than an inconsiderate, boorish, no-class guest who abuses courtesy -- on Christmas of all days?
I should know -- I've got a couple who are technically "relatives."
