Statement from Dino Rossi

Bellevue, WA – Today Dino Rossi issued the following statement:

“This is supposed to be the season for Christmas and Hanukkah, not campaigns, but this year, unfortunately, we don’t yet have a governor-elect.

“Like many people across Washington, I’m very concerned about the integrity of this election process, and I’m also very concerned that not all votes are being treated equally.

“Earlier this week, I asked the Supreme Court not to change the rules of the recount. On Tuesday, however, the Supreme Court did change the recount rules, and allowed previously rejected ballots to be reconsidered.

“Many hundreds of previously rejected ballots in King County were counted, but there are hundreds more of wrongfully rejected ballots that remain uncounted. We have affidavits so far from 300 legal voters across Washington whose ballots were wrongfully rejected. The rules were changed for a select group of ballots in King County, but not for many other ballots all across the state. That is wrong. If the rules can be changed for a select group of voters in King County, then the new rules should apply to everyone, equally.

“Under the new rules established by the Supreme Court, if your vote was wrongfully thrown out through no fault of your own, your vote should be counted. Whether your signature was mistakenly challenged or whether you’re a member of the military who didn’t receive your ballot on time, your vote should count. Anything else is undemocratic.

“To make sure that every wrongfully disenfranchised voter has the opportunity to have his or her vote counted, we are going to take some time to follow up with county canvassing boards across Washington and ask those boards to reconsider wrongfully rejected ballots.

“I know many Washingtonians are hoping this will end soon, but I’m also sure that people across this state want a clean election and a legitimate governor-elect. At this point, we have neither.

“Finally, Terry and my children and I want to wish everyone a happy holiday season, and I again want to thank the people of Washington for their kind-hearted support.”

If nothing else - the military votes must be counted! These are our sons and daughters, our husbands, wives, mothers and fathers who are fighting for the right of another in another land to vote.

If ballots were received late or our men and women could not vote on time because military duties kept them from their "CHERISHED CONSTITIONAL RIGHT - THE RIGHT TO VOTE! That vote must be honored!!!!!

I did not understand this in 2000 and I do not understand this now!!!

Yeah, well Mary Lane probably drafted it and Rossi applied liberally some hair gel...

Let me guess: The first draft said, "We can hear you Washington State, the rest of the world can hear you and soon enough, the people who knocked down our democracy will hear from all of us soon!"

Sounds good, eh?

You missed one:

"Alexander the Great remarked that the peoples of Asia were slaves, because they had not learned how to pronounce the word 'no'. Let that not be the epitaph of the English-speaking peoples or of Parliamentary democracy..." Sir Winston L.S. Churchill (SOURCE: Never Give In! The Best of Winston Churchill's Speeches by Winston S. Churchill, page 184)

http://josef-a-k.blogspot.com/2004/12/rossifarians-and-all-washington-learn.html is an editorial on the subject...

The result of this should be a national voter registration data base. Registring to vote should require proof of citizenship and proof of residence. When you move and notify the registration district, the data base should be updated and your previous registration should be removed. This will stop duplicate registrations and clarify provisional ballots. Military ballots should NEVER be disallowed.

Afraid not all Republicans - Reed is wimping out, according to today's P-I:

"Gregoire has said "the election is over" and Republican Secretary of State Sam Reed agrees with her. He'll certify the results Thursday."

Just as I expected - he also sponsored the Top-Two Primary idea, that's why I didn't vote for him.

Certified mail.

One letter to the FBI, one letter to Mr. Rossi at his home.

If you have evidence don't just talk about it like the Dummies--turn it over to the proper authorities.

The result of this should be a national voter registration data base.

And let DHS administer it and integrate it with a national ID card and implanted ID chip.

I know what I am doing.

You think the FBI doesn't try to avoid investigating corruption in the State of Washington? You wouldn't believe it. Same with the US Attorney. John McKay and his top criminal assistant, Jeff Sullivan, have admitted to me the the cJ of the sate SC has obstructed justice, but they are "too busy' to investigate or prosecute. They actually said that to me.

US Attorney too busy to investigate Washington State fraud

Interesting.

It sounds like they may need some assistance in re-evaluating their priorities. :-)

I know what I am doing.

If you know what you are doing I suspect you know what to do next. :-)
