Johann Sebastian Bach is superior to Dimebag AbbottNo way was Skid Row better than Pantera...
Oh THAT Bach!
Well...I dispute that statement. J.S. Bach was certainly more influential from a historical perspective, but superiority is a matter of opinion, is it not? Dimebag was certainly one of the best metal guitarists of modern times.

Dimebag was certainly one of the best metal guitarists of modern times. Think anyone will remember him 300 years from now?

Dimebag was certainly one of the best metal guitarists of modern times.Ability to make a lot of racket and loudness is not to be compared to producing understandable and pleasant sounds!

"Dimebag Abbott" was good, but he was no Michael Schenker, or John Petrucci. That said, R.I.P. Mr. Abbott, you'll be missed.

LOL - I was thinking the same thing!
Having seen Skid Row live, I can tell you that Sebastian Bach is/was an awesome lead singer!

Dimebag was certainly one of the best metal guitarists of modern times. For whatever THAT is worth. Personally, I'd much rather listen to a garden rake being dragged across a school chalkboard before listening to high level noise distortion. But that's just me.
Probably agreeing with me, however, might be REAL accomplished guitarists with some melodic insight of sorts such as, Alan Holdsworth, Neil Schon, Trevor Rabin, Robin Ford, Joe Satriani, Stevie Vai, Ingwee Malmsteen, Steve Lukather, Larry Carlton, Lee Ritnauer...just to name a few.

No way was Skid Row better than Pantera... ROTFLMAO! That was the first thing I thought about also!

good point -- D.A. was infinitely better than Bach on an electric guitar (considering that Bach never handled one in his life and they weren't invented until long after he was gone!). I think you can appreciate both Pantera and Classical music -- I, personally, can appreciate both speed/thrash metal and classical
