BERLIN (Reuters) - A German couple was shocked after a 275-mile car journey to discover a surprise stowaway cowering next to the engine of their car -- a 6-week-old kitten.
The meows of the tiny animal only became audible after Elisabeth and Dieter Gesehl had parked their car.
"First of all we called the police as we feared for a moment that we must have run over and seriously injured a cat," the 64-year-old woman from Eggenfelden told Bonn express newspaper.
After checking under the hood, however, they discovered the unharmed kitten. The animal, which the couple have since adopted and named "Pussy," was soon back to normal after a few minutes of petting.
Ohhhhhhh nooooooooo!
Too bad for that snake, seriously. No animal deserves that.
I felt the same way (sad to look at).

Manifold Destiny : The One! The Only! Guide to Cooking on Your Car Engine! by CHRIS MAYNARD, BILL SCHELLER
How many miles does it take to braise a fish fillet? Should you use your exhaust manifold or your valve cover for a pork tenderloin? Were Jaguars really designed with veal scallopini in mind?
In the new revised and expanded Manifold Destiny, Chris Maynard and Bill Scheller, two experienced rally drivers--and cooks--answer these and any other questions you've got about cooking under the hood. After all, why drive to a diner when you can turn your Chevy into one, especially when you can make a better meal right on top of your engine? With a little bit of ingenuity--and a whole lot of aluminum foil--you can whip up dishes like Cutlass Cod Supreme, Cruise-Control Pork Tenderloin, Nifty NAFTA Nachos, Donner Pass Red Flannel Hash, and Fupped Duck Catera.
Witty, preposterous, and great highway fun, the more than forty recipes in this cult classic are road-tested and taste-bud-approved. It's a must for anyone hitting the road with an empty stomach and a full tank of gas.
I once killed an entire family of kittens over the course of several weeks in this manner. Of course, it wasn't on purpose, and dealing with a kitten caught in a serpentine belt is not in the slightest bit fun, so now I make sure to honk the horn or bang on the hood before firing the truck up.
When my Dad was a young man, he was a mechanic at a gas station just off an Interstate highway.
He'd find cats under carhoods quite often and take them home with him. I think Grandma had half a dozen cats in various states of dis-repair and healing at any given time, LOL!
That would be a "former" Ball Python. Python regius (also know as Royal Python) are a relatively small and docile specie of snake, which are native to Western and West-Central Africa. They are native to Togo, Benin, or Ghana. They are called 'Ball Pythons' because, when frightened, they coil around their head and into a ball.
You can say that again. I came out one morning and started up my truck and heard a "BONG!",
and the truck just cut out. I lifted the hood and the belt was off, and a little brown, white, and black
calico kitten tail was sitting on the alternator.
She was below on the ground dead as a doornail.
I assume her tail got caught in the belt and whipped her around,
and knocked her brains out on the alternator. (thus the underhood "BONG!").
See? Literary.
(actually, "The debt to pleasure" is waiting for me at the library)
Wasn't that name "Pussy Galore"...
Yes, here full formal name was Pussy Galore.
It's funny now(sort of), but it was a hideous disaster at the time. They kept it from the young daughter for quite a while. Everybody freaked out. Couldn't hear any meows, so nobody thought much about something in the dryer. Poor kitty!
I remember hearing that in the movie the first time and nearly fell out of my seat....ppprrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Works every time.
Similar thing happened to a friend's neighbor. They had to use a pressure washer to remove what was left of the the cat from the engine.
:^D
hehe! :^D
