For the last two days, every time I visit Drudge, my computer gets hijacked by some pop-up virus. Am I the only one? I have to put the Yahoo-toolbar virus scanner on it and it tells me I got a Trojan horse hijacking my computer. It does get rid of it, but what's going on? Can someone please proof me wrong, so I can look for the cause somewhere else? Or have you experienced it too. Is drudge out of money or something to allow this scumware to infect his readers' computers?
Don't tell me. I run every ap you mentioned and a couple more!

These actions are reactionary....I want something that will be alert, something like a spyware version of Norton that catches them before they get on infected on your computer.

LOL It's IE that is the least compliant browser. Microsoft is too lazy to get in line with CSS and HTML2 standards, and they figure they're big enough to make everyone comply with them. They're the most invulnerable browser since Netscape 3, you betcha.
Trend Micro PC-cillin. Anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall. Very nice combo and the price is great.
What do you do for Microsoft? Are you one of their FUD the forums guys?

No, they aren't perfect and they aren't invulnerable, but mine always sweeps clean. Surprises me, really.
Is that problem with the hijacked frames cleared up yet?
We build corporate sites and we insist on IE as the browser to build against. We tested our sites against Firefox and, while it appears to be a functional browser, it just doesn't stretch to the levels we need. IE doesn't support certain items such as transparent pngs but firefox doesn't support xslt rendering. Also, firefox seems to mess up a lot of rendering that should be standard.
It's all a moot point, imo, since the whole html, javascript stuff is on its last legs. The browser wars are shifting and I think MS has a new one up its sleeve to support XAML.
