A high rise in the Chicago Loop at 135 S. LaSalle has at least one floor on fire. Live shots show a raging fire through the windows.
This is the LaSalle Bank Building. Began just after 1830h.

The only thing I hope they find now is a cause.
OK - I'm to the pillow now.
Goodnight.

Exactly. Prayers for those injured and those that will have to work through this during the night and through the next few weeks as they figure it all out.
Good night everyone. Gonna hit the hay here too.

The date is just below the title...
Oh well, it isn't a horrible sin or something, so no need to get too worked up about it...lol.

This building used to be known as the Field Building (as in Marshall Field, whose estate developed the building). The ugly sculpture in the foreground ;-) is the Picasso on the Plaza. Correct on the building name, but not on the Pick-asso. It's in the plaza of City Hall a couple blocks north.

I was a little kid and it was pretty perplexing to see the cover come off and be told I was looking at a duck. Well, close. It's supposed to be a woman.

I'm so sorry about your husband. How wonderful to have a tree planted near the church in his memory! I'll ask my mother to say a prayer for him when she's at adoration there next. (And I'll say a prayer for him, too.) Take care.
