Prayers for the baby.
Some days I end up wishing I didn't read the Cronc.

$500 worth would be quiet a rock, based on what I've seen of street prices in the news.

This would not be a crime in the Netherlands.

Have you ever seen the movie "Trainspotting"? This is a scene from that movie.

Gee, if WE JUST LEGALIZED THE STUFF AND TAXED IT THERE WOULD BE NO PROBLEM.

Poor baby. At least he's safe now.

These people should be air-dropped into hostile territory over there in Iraq with American flags tattooed all over them.

The sad thought is would it have been worse if he had survived this particular episode? With parents capable of that kind of reckless self-indulgence, it was going to happen sooner or later.

Another victimless drug use "incident."

A (there are many) sad part is that there are literally thousand of loving good couple in this country who would have jumped at the chance to raise this child. These two should be locked way for the rest of their lives.

It's too bad you can't auction off time with these two on e-Bay. You'd make a lot of money and render justice at the same time.
Prayers for the baby.

This is sick. These parents fessed up to everything, caught up in a wave of guilt, which is exactly how it should be. I've always said, no law can enforce responsible parenthood. The punishment of losing one's child, even a crack head, is worse than anything the government can do.
On the flip side, these hard core drugs are destroying families left-and-right. It is self-induced slavery. And slavery is illegal in the USA. May it ever be so. FReegards....

Hang 'em high and let them dangle in a public square.

Absolutely. I have a friend whose wife has a genetic disorder (Swyer syndrome?-something like that) and cannot have children and they would jump at that chance. As it stands, they want a baby and can't find a kid younger than 3 or 4 to adopt.

Is the crack cocaine aspect of this supposed to make things (faux shock) worse? People and their emotions are so 'playable'.
They could've just as easily been on an alcohol binge and done the same thing.
Either way they were obviously lousy parents.
