...how much she has moved to the center and is cooperating with Republicans.

She's doing that to get re-elected in 2006. She can't run for President because she is unelectable. She has way too much dirt just waiting to be dug up to even consider running.

I think she wants to be Majority Leader of the Senate.

You could be on to something there. Hillary only appeals to the "in your face" feminazis and they can't muster a majority. There will be a female president one day and I like to think she will be a Republican. Still someone like Clinton could only sqweek in if Republicans decide to split over a 3rd party candidate again (as was the case with Perot).

Look for her to pick up the mantle of "Immigration Reform" as the centerpiece of her "populist" campaign - neither party will address the illegal immigration issue, despite the pleas of 75% of the country.

Right, and she'll sucker 74.995% to vote for her, including many Republicans who would've otherwise voted against her. It'll be 1991-1992 all over again, and in the off chance she did win the White House, she won't do diddly squat for immigration reform, and 74.995% of the electorate will scream their vote was squandered.

"It matters not. She can't win."

Be careful with your statements/predictions. If that lying piece of trash Kerry could raise more money than the GOP, Hillary could put him to shame. The big dem donors would put it all on the line to get her elected and she might be able to attract enough traditional GOP women and minority votes to pull it off, especially if the GOP doesn't run a strong candidate.

Kerry was a putz and they picked him. Anythingis possible.

AND he managed to get 56 million votes based on 4 months of service in VietNam 35 years go.

If Hillary runs, she knows she will get at least 90% of those plus a lot of female independents who would want to try to elect the first female President.

The democrats are going to kill each other. Can you picture Hillary running against Kerry in the primary? I can't wait. It's going to be delicous.

My only dread is watching the Republicans do the same.

It's certainly true that Hillary is too polarizing and unlikeable to ever get elected President, but I find hard to believe that someone as power-mad as she is actually believes it herself.

She has to get re-elected to the Senate between now and 2008. Makes sense for her to raise money for Senate races. If she does not win her re-election bid in 2006 IMO she won't be able to run in 2008.

Before the dust settled from this election, Hillery would be the prime choice for a Democratic presidential run in '08 or '12. Now the wishes of the voters is now understood, the 'crats have no future in developing a more liberal agenda. They will spend the next three years developing a more digestible philosophy and and searching for a Southern, more conservative presidential candidate. Rumor has it that it could be a Tennessean.

Hillary would become a Republican if she thought that's
what she needed to do in order to win.

I suspect the elite of the party are trying to decide which group to throw to the wolfes. Dumping the homosexual platform would win back the conservatives blacks and hispanics who left the fold over the homosexual marriage issue. (I mean, what is next, people wanting to marry their dog or cat? It makes as much sense, and the democrats know it is a looser.)

Look for Hillary to run and the democrats to be the party that does not care a wit if a state wants to pass gun control or not, pass homosexual marriage or not, let in immigrants or not. In other words, I believe they will adopt a more states rights position where they can be for what the blue cities love (in the cities) and be for the red state values (when in the country). My two cents.

(a) There is no way Democrats will get back the Senate before 2010 without a major major major scandal.

(b) Hillary does nothing for other people. Nothing.

Can't these people develop a shread of cynicism for Democrats? After all this?

Kerry wouldn't make it past Iowa, even though he would continue after the shellacking in the Hawkeye Cauci because Hillary will destroy Kerry in more ways than just at the polls.

She would not be picking up immigration reform now if she is planning to use it in her campaign. It gives Bush too much time to make it a non-issue for her.

I don't think she could possibly win the presidency. But then again I cannot believe that Kerry got anything more than, say, 25% of the vote.

I think that the picture will be much clearer a year or two from now. And in politics, people have a way of coming out from behind the shadows and overwhelming the people we are talking about today.

I just hope the Republicans keep it together, and that the Democrats (please!) do NOT nominate Hillary. I know she would probably garner votes for the Republicans on an anti-Hillary wave, but it's too much of a risk to have her anywhere near the Oval Office.

I'm not a Hillary Hater, whatever that means, but I do dislike corruption, socialist principles and an attempt to hide one's true views in an attempt to satiate one's own personal ambition. Eight years of this crud was more than enough.
