METEOR TOWNSHIP, Wis. The man suspected of shooting eight Wisconsin hunters methodically pursued his victims, authorities said today, noting that the bodies of four of the five who died were found relatively close together. Those killed were identified today as Robert Crotteau, 42; his 20-year-old son, Joey Crotteau; Al Laski, 43; Mark Roidt, 28; and Jessica Willers, 27. Some were shot more than once.
All five victims were from the Rice Lake area and were dead when officers arrived to the scene near the Town of Meteor in southwestern Sawyer County, investigators said. Authorities found two bodies near each other and the others were scattered over 100 yards.

Wisconsin doesn't have the death penalty....does it?
Suspected!?
Git a damn rope!
Hey Mammasan--er Rakkasan, well--same thing. Anyways, does Wisconsin have the death penalty?
Hell, they were all hunters and should have taken care of it themselves.
No, no death penalty in wisconsin.
the shooter had the element of suprise and a SKS.
I dont think there was a lot of time for defense. He is a madman
Hang him beside the baby butcher in Plano TX
I'm sure they would have if they hadn't been unarmed. Who the hell thinks someone is going to murder them while they are on private property trying to get in some hunting?
hey, five oh douche!
no,Cheezeland has no DP.
I will gladly pull the trigger, push the plunger, or pull the switch on this guy. After I'm done anyone in the world can take my picture and have my name. Come get some .45 is all I can say if someone doesn't like it.
Best get one of these now if you want one
No.
They thought they were responding to a hunting accident, not an attempted murder.
Of the eight who were shot, only one was carrying a weapon at the time of the shooting; authorities said it was unclear if any of the other hunters also fired.
For some reason, I am confident that if they could have, they would have defended themselves.
I heard in another report that the shooter was "east-asian".... and a language barrier was present. Anything in the local press? Was the shooter a member of the religion of peace from Indonesia, or something else??
Yes. And from what I'm hearing, the two who were initially shot radioed back to camp and described the situation. The rest (5 or 6 by my count) came to the scene with only one gun between them. Bad error.
Read that he was Hmong,"Vietnamese".
The Hmong are not Moslems. No R.O.P. angle in this story.
Pity the woman who has lost her husband and her son in one hideous moment.
