Semper Fi - 'nuff said.
Greater love hath no man than he lay down his life for his friends......Jesus
Doubt we'll hear about in in the MSM or read about it in the NY Slimes.
What a Marine! What a great American!
What can you say about a person like Sgt. Peralta? There are no words. G-d Bless our troops.
God bless this young man!
To save others by a selfless act of bravery = MoH!
Our brave soldiers wouldn't be doing this kind of action if they didn't believe in the mission. May God bless them all.
Bump to the top, and a PING for an American HERO! ±
"The Era of Osama lasted about an hour, from the time the first plane hit the tower to the moment the General Militia of Flight 93 reported for duty."
Toward FREEDOM
RIP Rafael
Have you noticed that these stories appear in the ARMY TIMES and STARS & STRIPES and not the regular media??
These are the people that the left insults daily with their attacks on our servicemen.
We won't be seeing any of the border-wedgies come to condemn this supposed 'alien enemy invader of America,' for Sgt. Peralta was a Mexican citizen.
God bless his soul.
NELVIN CEPEDA / Union-Tribune Rosa Maria Peralta sat on her son's bed next to a photo of him. Marine Sgt. Rafael Peralta, 25, was killed Monday in Fallujah, Iraq. His fiancee died after an auto accident in December 2003, and his father was killed on the job three years ago. |
"Tomorrow, at 19:00 hours (7 p.m.), we are going to declare war in the holy city of Fallujah," Peralta wrote to Ricardo, 14. "We are going to defeat the insurgents. Watch the news, it's going to be all over. Be proud of me, bro, I'm going to make history and do something that I always wanted to do."
The two white envelopes came in the mail Tuesday, the day after Peralta's family learned the 25-year-old Marine had died in battle. Shot in the chest and wounded in the head from bomb shrapnel, he died Monday on the way to a field hospital in Anbar province.
News that a young man has fallen in combat is always hard for relatives to take, but Peralta's passing hit his family especially hard. They were stunned by the death of his father in a freak accident three years ago.
Then the mother of Peralta's fiancee died on the eve of the couple's wedding day, and Maritca died days later from injuries in a truck accident.
And now this.
God has some mighty fine warrior angels now, some of the best.
"It's stuff you hear about in boot camp, about World War II and Tarawa Marines
who won the Medal of Honor,"
and about Army guys in WWII Europe:

The local National Guard Armory in West Los Angeles has a "Sadao Munemori" Hall.
Who says they don't make 'em like they used to?
Hmmm....I can't imagine why this hasn't been on the Brokaw, Jennings, or Rather reports.
Thanks for posting this.
