Please post those comments/cartoons here so we have a single source.
I will write letters to the editor and call to those organizations who have been involved in these disgraceful activities.

How many papers was that in?

She's a wonderful girl, but she does look a lot like Nat King Cole.......... that's not a bad thing.
To: Ladysmith
That cartoon is pathetic. Scum.

Yes, that's the normal usage everywhere except the NTSlimes, which for some reason is so in the pocket of the AMA (among other special interests) that they only style M.D.'s as "Dr.", forgetting, of course that Doctor was originally an academic title--J.D., Th.D., M.D., Ph.D.

"How about Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire?"
And
"California SB 1234, signed into law last September, states that "hate speech" is any public expression that makes some people feel "unwelcome" or "intimidated.""
Regarding Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire, it involved "the use in a public place of words likely to cause a breach of the peace." The US Supreme Court stated "(a) statute punishing verbal acts, carefully drawn so as not unduly to impair liberty of expression, is not too vague for a criminal law."
This is a 1942 ruling by the Court, hardly something new, and it involved person to person contacts, where one side was trying to provoke the other, not a letter to the editor expressing your displeasure over something or someone.
Regarding the recent California law (if it actually addresses hate speech alone without foul deeds having been committed), I'll comment on it when and if it survives constitutional scrutiny by the US Supreme Court. Until then, it's just another California law to be added to a heap of other stupid legislation.

You are referring to the popular 70's and 80's sitcom "The Jeffersons" starring Sherman Hemsley and Isabel Sanford. The lyrics are thus:
Well we're Movin' on Up!
Movin' on Up!
To the east side!
Movin' on Up!
To a dee-luxe apartment in the sky, We're movin' on up!
Movin' on Up!
To the east side!
Movin' on Up!
We've finally got a piece of the pie!
Fish don't fry in the kitchen,
Beans don't burn on the grill.
Took a whole lotta tryin'
Just to get up that hill.
Now we're up in the big leagues,
Gettin' our turn at bat!
As long as we live,
It's you and me, baby!
There ain't nothin' wrong with that!
Hooray, We're Movin' on Up!
Movin' on Up!
To the east side!
Movin' on Up!
To a dee-luxe apartment in the sky! We're Movin' on Up!
Movin' on Up!
To the east side!
Movin' on Up!
We've finally got a piece of the pie!

Okay, I'm happy to say that we agree on the titles.
And I think you'll agree with me that the papers and TV (or at least most of them) will refer to Condi Rice simply as Rice just as they refer to the President (capital P on purpose) as Bush.
By the way, I used to use the AP Stylebook on capitalizations. But my copy is old. So guide me here. It USED to be that a title was always capitalized if it referred to a particular person. Even the word "mother" was capitalized if it referred to a particular mother, and not capitalized if it were used generally. I've been wondering what AP says now.

Well, yes, I know that the term "brown sugar" COULD be taken as racist. But it isn't self-evidently so. I've never had much use for the idea of looking for reasons to be offended. Unless somebody is being clearly and overtly racist, I don't assume he's a bigot.
Besides, I have a huge crush on Condi, and if she was my girlfriend that's just what I'd call her...:-)

Dr. Rice is unmistakably being maligned by this reference by the reprehensible Gerry Trudeau. I doubt that he has a crush on her, either; we're not talking about an affectation of admiration here but one of the clearest cases of racially oriented derision it has ever been my displeasure to witness.
You, sir, are obviously in denial here.

I don't think I agree with you on one point. I think the jacka$$ Trudeau slap is at the President not at Dr. Rice. It's his snide stupid little way of hinting that Condi is W's Monica, a rumor that I had not heard until today.
Remember the only way the left can make their guys look good is to try and drag ours down into the sewer with them. IIRC the line during Bubba's scandal was "Jefferson, Washington, insert your favorite president here___________, did it too.
It was also meant to show the President as the racist. JMO

It is one of the oldest ploys in the book to hint that a strong, capable woman got there by sleeping her way up the ladder. Hmmmm, Gerry...I wonder how your wife Jane Pauley got that plum job at NBC so early in her career, then?

Absolutely agree!
The guy is a snake, I seem to remember a strip of his from way back advocating rape, as long as the victim was conservative or republican. Anybody else remember this?

I agree with you. If, Hillary runs, which, as of right now, there is no question about it, I think Condi will win the nomination.
She would hang the communist bitch out to dry.
2008 very possibly will be the year we have the first woman President.

I think she will do an outstanding job and also back the policies of W. Not like Powell.
There is an article on Newsmax, I haven't yet read, about her being Prez in 2008. I think she would be an outstanding President.
Maybe, as great as, Madam Thatcher.

That cartoon would be much more believable IF you replaced some of the characters:
Gore instead of Cheney
Albright instead of Powell
Cohen for Rumsfeld
And...
wait for it...
Monica for Dr. Rice.

"Please, let me state first of all I am not Racist or anything anything and God knows we do need more diversity in all aspects of Government."This is truly the calling card of a person about to make a racist comment.
