A statewide recount of the presidential vote appears inevitable after a pair of third-party candidates said they have collected enough money to pay for it.
The recount would be conducted after the election results are certified in early December.
Libertarian Michael Badnarik and the Green Party's David Cobb said on Monday they raised more than $150,000 in four days, mostly in small contributions.
Ohio law requires payment of $10 per precinct for a recount, or $113,600 statewide.
Badnarik and Cobb said they aren't trying to overturn President Bush's 136,000-vote victory in Ohio, but just want to ensure that all votes were counted properly in the face of concerns about Election Day irregularities.

"There are 92,000 spoiled ballots and david schuster and corn on the cobb says over 60 percent are in precincts that heavily favor kerry "
What is it with liberals? They aren't just too stupid to vote for the right guy, they're just too stupid to vote at all.
Sandusky County, Ohio
Kerry 43.7% 13,909
Bush 56.0% 17,824
Other 0.4% 113
Well...guess what. I don't believe you! Let's see your source. I live in Ohio and I have relatives in that county and I'll be happy to verify that for you. Did you really think that none of us might actually be from Ohio? Go back to DU. Oh, and I have relatives in Columbus, friends in Youngstown and Cinncinnatti, and I work in Cleveland. So I guess I can verify anything you'd like.
DOOM & GLOOM!
I was under the impression that when President Bush won the overwhelming MANDATE over the morally bankrupt dem party politicos and knuckle dragging supporters that both sides determined it to be mathematically impossible to change the outcome even when done counting.
Other than your apparent compulsive fascination with something futile -am I missing something?
Yes, but Sandusky Ohio is in Erie County, not Sandusky County, which is named for the river, not the city.
The Libertarian party was hijacked by leftists and whackos years ago.
They are just a satire of what they could have been, now.
Thanks.
Liebertarian? Losertarian? Those are the funniest things I've ever heard. Did y'all make them up? Because they are TOO funny. I'm laughing so hard, my stomach hurts. So funny! I can't stop laughing. Losertarian . . . liebertarian . . . wow! Y'all are so clever. How did y'all get to be so witty and original? Is there a class I can take to be that funny? I mean, really. Y'all are a hoot.
In my defense, I actually consider myself almost as much of a conservative libertarian as I do a Republican... but down here in Atlanta, Neal Boortz is our Rush down here so a lot of us GOPers have warmed to the libertarian PHILOSOPHY, while the actual party itself is in the hands of liberal libertarians. Believe me, Boortz is way more pro-Bush than he is pro-Baerdnik.. think about it: small federal government, no income tax, citizen and state rights..most of the philosophies are similar..its just that wing of the party that won't shutup about legalizing LSD that ruins them
It's just a little "wittier" than how they label the (C)'s.
Still, you have to admit this is a pretty pathetic move by the (L)'s.
Actually, that claim is true. There were only two voting machines at Kenyon College for over 1600 students. The line was ten hours long and the last vote was cast between 3 and 4 am. The campus is still abuzz about it (I was there last Saturday).
If this was true it would all over the news, especially the in the liberal media.
It's not.
The few times Ohio has been mentioned at all, no credibility AT ALL has been given to those who claim there is any chance of changing the outcome. Quite the opposite.
Even Kerry's lawyers agree on this.
"I actually did concede the Presidency .. before I didn't"
Bush may have won Pennsylvania if all the "stuffed" votes are tossed. Rendell and Philly is like Mob and Leader!
The count will remain the same.
The answer is that ALL close states must be verified otherwise this is a backdoor effort to steal the election. WHO gave this money? Domestic? Foreign sources? What sort of spending limits did they face?
If OHIO does go to Kerry on recount, why should Kerry be permitted to KEEP other questionable states?
All or none. Stinks to high heaven.
Good to hear you're easily amused because if the Liebertaran/Green/DemonRAT cabal succeeds in Ohio, fun will be hard to come by.
