I am being sued for something that happened at the December 2000 Freep of Joe Lieberman.
JimRob has allowed me to hold an internet fundraiser to help defray the costs of my lawyers fees.
I am broke and thousands of dollars in debt, and depending on how much I can collect here, I amnot sure if I can continue or work to sign a mutual release if offered.
Right now, we have ended the discovery phase, and are awaiting the deposition of the man who accused me of assaulting him that day.
That charge is a lie.
The following story below is my short account of what happened that day.
Well looky there, another worthless asshole hijacking Dr. King jr's message. If Dr. King was still alive, he'd probably smack the living daylights out of him.
Kimber, however, remains confident in his role.

I've been reading this thread since last night. I would like to thank all of you who took the time to explain the IRS rules on gift giving. It directly affects myself and my 4 kids.

Second, thanks to ALL here for bringing tears to my eyes, by once again reminding me WHY I love FReepers, and the USA! The wonderful outpouring of LOVE and COMPASSION in this thread is beyond anything money can buy. No wonder the Bible says that "LOVE NEVER FAILS"!!!!!! Another good quote: "No man is an island, entire of itself..." What happens to Jim happens to all of us. I still wonder if this whole thing wasn't staged so that this lawsuit could be brought by that WOLF in sheeps clothing, grrrrrr.
And finally, third goes to you Jim (RB) because you are a vet, and because you are a sweetie! You are a TRUE FREEPER, and I'm so very HONORED to be OFFERED an opportunity to be a blessing to you, as your FREEPS (and pictures of same) have been to me. Because of poor health I've not been able to go to any FReeper events. You, and other FReepers, have been there in my place, doing what I'm not able to do. GOD BLESS YOU JIM, and thank you. Ps, The good natured banter between various branches of the Armed Forces here made me laugh! My dad is a Navy vet, and my brother an Army vet, lol. Ah those Army/Navy football games, heehee. What a blessing it is to be an American!
That is outrageous. So basically he is saying that as a result of HIS jumping agressively onto YOUR truck, he was FEARFUL of YOU? Yeah ok. (shaking head)
This Kimber guy is a real class act for sure. Google yields amazing results, sounds like he lives his life flirting with legal limits and flaunts it.

Thank you. My check is written, and will be sent out when I leave the house later today. I am so heartened that so many friends are willing to come to the aid of a fellow Freeper.
But the fact that Kimber jumped up onto Race's truck in the first place...shouldn't that help to neutralize the whole thing?
It just seems hard for me to believe that someone who is agressively tresspassing would have any real standing when it comes to "assault," especially considering there was no bodily injury.

I'm not sure the "aggressively" part would be so easy to prove, since the plaintiff will claim he was being as peaceful as a lamb. And remember, we're talking about trespass to chattels, not to real property.
I'm not saying the plaintiff would win. I'm saying it would go to a jury. Any time you go to a jury, it's a crap shoot.

By using the word "agressively," I didn't mean Kimber was being boisterous about it but rather he was the one who was on the offense while Race was on the defense. That seems to be unquestionable and pretty damning for the plaintiff, in this layperson's opinion anyway.

Wow. I have been pinged by 8 people to this thread. Glad to see the warm freeper response.
Tom called himn a Poverty Pimp, and he is being sued for slander.
By the way, to make sure I am clear, I am only asking for my share of the debt, not both mine and Toms, although, I think no one will mind, Tom has carried the weight for me for 3 years financially on this, I want to make sure he is covered!
It's the world that folks who support the likes of John Edwards want us all to live in.
