This thread honors the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces, and reminds us of why we here at home can go about our daily business in peace. Street-to-street is the toughest type of warfare. Air cover is being flown by pilots from the USS John F. Kennedy, as well as the U.S. Air Force from bases in the area.

Oh, I wouldn't call it vengeance since we will probably be paying to rebuild it.

Yes, there are even Navy Corpsmen that have been temp assigned to jobs such as snipers. I read about one that did at the main OIF section on the Marine Corps web site.
Pure unadulterated BS (unless you can provide a link).
Do be aware, that the Marines are a sub branch of the Navy.
More BS. The Marine Corps is part of the DEPARTMENT of the Navy. Semper Fi ...

RE:-Is that a woman in combat?
"Why should that upset you?"
Well, It's kinda like your tagline: "Islam and Christianity do not mix ----9-11 taught us that"
You see, phbrown...women in combat do not mix---The Najaf ambush/kidnapping of Jessica Lynch and several other women, has taught us THAT.
- Not to mention the Abu Graibe sex scandal, where the one woman prison guard who got preganant was engaging in sex with several of the guys in her unit...
oh heck, let's mention it:

By VINCENT MORRIS and DEBORAH ORIN
-------
May 13, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - Shocking shots of sexcapades involving Pfc. Lynndie England were among the hundreds of X-rated photos and videos from the Abu Ghraib prison scandal shown to lawmakers in a top-secret Capitol conference room yesterday.
"She was having sex with numerous partners. It appeared to be consensual," said a lawmaker who saw the photos.
My son who is a Marine; could possibly explain it in a little more graphic detail, but I'll leave it to your own imagination.

This from today's Rocky Mountain News Talk Back To The Media (letters to editor)
Inappropriate Photo
I feel that the picture of a Marine from Charley (sic) Company smoking a cigarette was very inappropriate for the front page of the Rocky Mountain News (Nov. 10) when we are discouraging everyone from smoking. A teenager will say, "If they can glorify a Marine smoking, why can't I do it?"
I am sure there were other men from Charley (sic) Company taking a break who were not smoking.

They better hope they're not turned over to the Iraqis.Good day, Valin. I just got online for the first time today, checked this thread, and saw your comments. This morning, Fox News reported that more torture houses and even a couple of hostages were found by the Marines in Fallujah. All the victims were Iraqis. They found the hostages partly because relatives told them which house to search, and partly because they heard screams coming from the house.
In addition, the Marines have found large caches of weapons in schools and other public buildings. Same MO of the murderous Islamist thugs everywhere, it seems: Torture and intimidate civilians, and put weapons of war in areas where innocent children can be used as fronts for the thugs' evil schemes.
