This thread honors the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces, and reminds us of why we here at home can go about our daily business in peace. Street-to-street is the toughest type of warfare. Air cover is being flown by pilots from the USS John F. Kennedy, as well as the U.S. Air Force from bases in the area.
I'm with you on the MOAB.
WOW! Awesome.
"I heard on the radio this morning that Navy corpsmen are serving with the Marines on the ground in Fallujah. All the services are doing their part in this war."
Well better later then not at all. Yes, there are even Navy Corpsmen that have been temp assigned to jobs such as snipers. I read about one that did at the main OIF section on the Marine Corps. web site.
Do be aware, that the Marines are a sub branch of the Navy.
Quite often the two work hand in hand, share schools, bases etc.. Navy Corpsmen have been saving Marine lives for many many years during conflicts. They are often working on someone as the bullets wizz by their ears. They deserve all our respect.
Actually, what we need to do is cut the salaries of our congress-critters and re-channel that money to pay our Armed Forces. In particular, the senate is loaded with multi-millionaires. Why should they get salaries at all?
Text: "Residents of Fallujah mutilated and dragged the corpses of four American civilians who were killed in an ambush by insurgents yesterday. The attack came hours after five U.S. soldiers died northwest of the town when their armored personnel carrier ran over a bomb, the largest American military death toll in a single incident since January. Images captured by Arab camera crews in Fallujah showed shrieking young men and boys kicking a charred corpse and holding dog tags near one body. Two other charred corpses hung from a bridge while grinning boys posed beside them. Townspeople hacked at the dead with sticks, then as seen in a broadcast over al Arabiya television , tethered one body to a car and dragged it through the town 35 miles west of Baghdad. "Viva mujahideen!" shouted Said Khalaf, a taxi driver. "Long live the resistance!" Nearby, a boy no older than 10 put his foot on the head of a body and said: "Where is Bush? Let him come here and see this!" Many people in the crowd said they felt as if they had won an important battle. Others said they thought the contractors were working for the CIA. "This is what these spies deserve," said Salam Aldulayme, a 28-year-old Fallujah resident. The dead men were not identified, though a State Department spokesman confirmed they were Americans. Bremer threatens to punish Fallujah militants"
Let's hope more than 90% of those perps mentioned in this article, and the scum that gathered to watch and cheer on those atrocities, met THEIRS in the last few days in F-Town.
That, they do, and more.
WE DON'T TAKE OIL

DON'T REBUILD FALLUJAH
LET IT BE A REMINDER AND AN EXAMPLE TO THE REST
SUPPORT TERROR - AND LIVE IN $HIT.
You make a good point. Fallujah was a Baathist stronghold, and its citizens willingly harbored the dead-enders who went there after we invaded.
No, just Uncle Sam's pet tank.
French journalists Christian Chesnot (L) and Georges Malbrunot. US marines have found alive in the restive Iraqi city of Fallujah the Syrian driver who was taken hostage with two French journalists almost three months ago, a military spokeswoman said.(AFP/Editions N1/File)
I hadn't heard this.
LOL!
"What needs to be done to get these guys more money? The pay scale seems to be absolutely terrible for what they do.
I for one would be willing to pay more taxes for these guys to get more money."
Glad you realize what the deal is. It is a difficult subject to discuss within a few paragraphs. But do be aware, that those that are serving in combat zones, do receive a monthly bonus. As an example a Lance Corporal (junior grade Corporal in the Marine Corps.) are receiving about $600/month above their normal pay rate. The pay rate for this rank is about 15K a year if my memory serves me correct. It is not easy to get pay increases for our men and women when you have guys like Big John Kerry on the public record making it clear that if we did not go into Iraq, we could have spent the 78 billion on social programs.
I know it goes off the subject a bit, but it should be clear to all, that if he really cared about our military, he should have said if anything, hey if we did not go to Iraq, we could now be spending the requested 78 billion on pay increases and supplement help to our military families.
HEY CANTEEN GANG...........COME SEE WHAT'S OVER HERE
