I doubt Peterson makes it to the death chamber. Some thug will want to make a name for himself as "the guy who offed Scott Peterson", in much the same way Dahmer got his. In the weird world that is the prison "code of honor", killing babies doesn't raise one in the eyes of fellow inmates. So the "12 years of appeals" will be moot.

Thank god, I really thought when they started replacing jurors that they were going to get a hung jury or a not guilty verdict. I always thought he was guilty. I just hope all of the jury replacements don't give him grounds for an appeal.

My thoughts exactly. I only wish it would have been 1st degree for the baby too. But I am still glad to see justice served! Indeed!

I don't think the judge tossed jurors who didn't agree. The jurors asked that the foreman be removed and when he was, he himself asked to be let off the case. The other juror was found breaking the rules--doing her own research. Someone said earlier in the thread that she tended toward thinking he was guilty. If the foreman was obstructing their decision, she may have gotten frustrated and have taken matters into her own hands. These are the reasons why they have alternates.
