I got so tired of seeing the smirk on the bastard Peterson's face. Wish I could have seen his face when the verdict was announced.

I know his type...lots of married guys hung out and trolled for babes at the World Sports Cafe in Fresno...I used to go there when I lived in Fresno on Sundays to watch the NFL games...it was quite the show to see these guys trying to pick up women...with their wedding ring on, or an obvious white "ring" where it was until a few minutes before....

I worked at ESL in Sunnyvale, Ca. when Richard Farley came in and killed 7 of my co-workers. He was found guilty, and sentenced to death. The only thing is that he is still on death row, and it has been almost 15 years since he committed the crime.

Maybe the last guy (just a guess) thought he was guilty of 1st but had a buyer's remorse about the death penalty.

Why wasn't connor's death 1st degree? He certainly knew he was killing him too.

My guess is that it has to do with what this jury thought the motive was. They must have thought (wrongly, IMHO) that he wanted LACI out of the way for his other life. Or for his freedom.

Unfortunately, I feel that it was Connor who was the ultimate victim. He was able to fool around on Laci all he wanted. Connor was what was going to saddle him for life. Remember, he also NEEDED to be thought of as the great guy. If he divorced Laci, her family would have hated him. If he didn't pay up for Connor, he would have looked bad. Connor was the ultimate threat to his freedom (and sociopathic "fun").

I can not imagine what Scott's parents must feel. They know their son is a murderer. So they are mourning their son's guilt and the loss of Laci and Connor. Scott's parents loved Laci, it was apparent from photos from when she first disappeared. They lost her and their grandchild. As much as they wanted to believe that their son was not the monster that did this, they have to face that now. I feel for them. I am glad that Laci and Connor got their justice. They can truly rest in peace now. I hope Laci's parents can find some comfort.

And the precedent tiny Conner Peterson is setting -- well, all I can say is that he did NOT die in vain. Little Conner, who knows how many lives you will be saving, my Angel, by this wonderful legal and official personhood status you have been granted. Bring on the slippery slope!

What a terrible thing and a terrible heartbreak for his mother to hear about her son, Scott. I cannot imagine the pain that woman must be feeling right now. I would die from heartbreak (which is not to take anything away from Laci's mother). Such a terrible thing Scott is guilty of. My God, her son turned out to be such a worthless sleazeball.
