I have a recipie for vinegar pie somewhere around here. It is a sweet sour type of custard pie served with whip creme. NO one ever realizes it's vinegar unless you tell them.
Hey, carlo........thanks for doing this again!
BUMP! Bookmarked, thank you. :-)
Thank You.
For sharing your Italian family and recipes.
How blessed you were and are.
What fun to see recipes that I know are still used.

New Recipe this year: Cranberry-Apple Muffin Bread:
1 and 1/2 cup of unbleached flour
1 cup of old-fashioned oats
1 cup of granola (I prefer raisins-dates-almonds granola)
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon (or more)
1/4 teaspoon of ginger (or more)
1/4 teaspoon of allspice (or more)
1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg (or more)
A sprinkle of apple pie seasoning
1/4 teaspoon of iodized salt
1 to 1 and 1/2 cups of Splenda (sugar can be substituted here)
2 large eggs (I use egg substitute)
1 and 1/2 cups of low fat or non-fat milk
1/4 cup of Take Control or lite margarine
2-3 small apples (I prefer red or gala) shredded
1 pound of fresh or frozen cranberries
I mix all the wet ingredients together.
I add all the dry ingredients to the batter.
Stir in the shredded apples and whole cranberries.
Stir well.
Pour into 3 lightly greased standard pie pans.
Sprinkle apple pie spice on top of the batter.
Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
Cut into slices.
Serve with dinner.
Thanks for the ping nw_arizona_granny.

I turn my slow cooked turkey over every hour until dinner is served.
It's a bit more work, but the meat just melts off the bones.
I deep fry our turkey every year...40-50 minutes frying time and it's delish!

Want to keep the turkey from sticking to the bottom of the roasting pan? Forget about those racks (which stick to the bird anyway). Just get thee to the store and buy a slab of ribs! Put them under the bird, and when the bird is done, you'll have a wonderful appetizer.
The best thread of the year.
time to load up the printer and enjoy
How did you know?
I was dreading the thought of having to look for these recipes on the 'Net -- "Procrastinate By FReeping" is my motto -- but now I don't have to look! And I love the personal notes from your experience with these. Bonus!
Thanks so much, mcgiver38!
Thanks for this thread Carlo3b! I like this dessert too. It's pretty simple to make too.
*PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE*
2 cups flour
2/3 cup brown sugar
10 Tablespoons of softened butter
16 oz. pkg. cream cheese (softened)
1-1/2 cups sugar
2 cups Pumpkin
3 eggs lightly beaten
1-1/2 cups cream
4 teaspoons cinnamon
3 teaspoons allspice
3 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
extra chopped walnuts for topping too
In a small bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in the butter to make a crumb mixture. Stir in the walnuts and press mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a springform pan. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, pumpkin, eggs, cream, spices and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Pour mixture into crust. Sprinkle with walnuts and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until done. Cool and remove from pan. Serve with Cool Whip or Ice Cream. Then endulge and enjoy! :)
I love this!
Thanks for all the beautiful recipes!
