I just got a call from my sister. My nephew, Travis, shot himself and is on life-support. He's not expected to live. Details are sketchy at this point.
I'm calling on all FR prayer warriors to send their prayers Heavenward.
Prayer request recieved and prayers sent! will pray for your safty as you travel also.
My prayers for your nephew and all of your family.
O Father our King, Your children lift up young Travis to You, to our Loving Savior, our God Merciful, Loving and Kind. We Plead that Your Hand of Compassion will rest over Travis, Your Healing Power Filling both his body and his spirit, bringing Restoration, Healthfulness, and Regeneration. Gather his grieving family into Your Strong Arms of Love, Granting that the Comfort and Peace of Your Blessed Holy Spirit will flow into them all, easing their anguish and pain. We committ this situation to You, Gracious Father, begging that Your Mercies will cover Travis and his family continually. Have Mercy, Loving God, and pour out Your Grace upon Travis and his loved ones, and we will Praise You and Glorify Your Wonderful and Blessed Name, the Sweet Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
We bring before you Your child who is in tremendous need. Surely You have not let Travis out of Your sight and You know exactly what has happened to him. O Lord, by Your amazing grace, we ask You to rescue him from the throes of death and set him upon a high place. Grant him a complete restoration no matter how difficult that may be in the eyes of man. Rescue him from the lies of the devil and enable him to hear Your voice calling him back to this life. Hear us, O God. Visit him in a mighty way, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
The doctors, nurses and the entire staff did all they could, but there was no hope. After brain wave tests and response tests were negative, it was decided to remove life support at about 11:00 a.m. Travis officially passed about 10 minutes later. His mother, Nancy, his father, Wayne and his sisters Lisa and Jenny were with him at the time. He now rests with God. Please keep this family in your prayers. They're holding up for now, but have a long, difficult struggle ahead. It's been a long, exhausting day and I'm completely worn out. Perhaps I can fill in some details later, after a nap.
