Kerry run in '08 called conceivable
Boston Globe ^ | 11/09/04 | Glen Johnson

Posted on 11/09/2004 3:18:03 AM PST by kattracks

While Senator John F. Kerry is "profoundly disappointed" with losing his presidential race last week, it is "conceivable" he will run again in four years, his brother and political confidant, Cameron F. Kerry, said yesterday.

[snip]

Former aides said they have received conflicting answers about whether he might wage another campaign. One, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said Kerry told a top campaign official he could not envision another run. Yet that same adviser attended a farewell party for Kerry's staff Saturday night in Washington and said Kerry told the crowd, "There's always another four years."

[snip]

Such a run could pose a dilemma for Kerry: His Senate seat is up for reelection in 2008, and talk of a presidential campaign could spur challengers from both parties and force him to decide whether to seek reelection or run for the White House. He also would undoubtedly face Democratic challengers for the presidential nomination, including possibly Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and his recent running mate, Senator John Edwards of North Carolina.

[snip]

The former aide said Kerry plans to work closely with Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, who is expected to replace Tom Daschle as Senate Democratic leader, to form the "loyal opposition" to Bush. He also plans to revamp his staff and meet this week with Senate and former campaign aides to plot strategy for his political reemergence.

Right, and it's cvonceivable that I could spend next weekend in an orgy of cheap meaningless kinky sex with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Hey it could happen...it could really.

Well, you know, he hasn't been properly introduced to the electorate.

Losing presidential candidates NEVER lead the Democratic Party after they lose. Ask AlGore. The Dems may allow you to hang around on the periphery of the party, but you'll never be top gun again.

If Kerry has any sense, he will fade into the Senate woodwork and retire with what is left of his dignity at the end of his Senate term. His presidential aspirations are as dead as Paul Wellstone.

He probably knows chances are next time Theresa won't be around. What boggles my mind is why any human being would want to do the campaigning it takes to run for President. It's insane what we put these people through.

Lieberman's not a traitor, and he wasn't running for the top spot.

The demonRats began their campaign right after the midterm election hoping to erode support for the president by the long process with a complicit media reporting their gripes about the president for the 18 months until the actual campaign.

Dutifully, the MSM did their part of repeatedly highlighting the pseudo-campaign's lies about the president.

Unfortunately (for them) their 9 dwarves were all losers.

My advice to Kerry is: watch your back, and under no circumstances fly on any small aircraft.

Kerry got clobbered. His campaign was in disarray. He ran a stupid convention. He picked a nobody as VP candidate who ended up having ZERO message, zero constituency, and zero debating skills.

And he still received about 48% of the vote ...

HA!

Kerry won't survive a primary fight. Here's why....

(Assume HRHHilary!ous speaking) "Well, it is not at all clear to me that Senator Kery deserves another campaign. Clearly when that Swift Boat 527 was attacking him, he could have signed standard form 180, and ended their attacks, but the campaign was too incompetent to do so."

Once a Dem gets SF180 out in front, He's toast.

Let's not forget the exit polling trick they tried.

It was designed to suppress the vote, and it did, but it isn't being addressed.

The margin is now a 4% spread....that would have made it a 5 or 6 percent spread -- landslide proportions.
