While Senator John F. Kerry is "profoundly disappointed" with losing his presidential race last week, it is "conceivable" he will run again in four years, his brother and political confidant, Cameron F. Kerry, said yesterday.[snip]
Former aides said they have received conflicting answers about whether he might wage another campaign. One, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said Kerry told a top campaign official he could not envision another run. Yet that same adviser attended a farewell party for Kerry's staff Saturday night in Washington and said Kerry told the crowd, "There's always another four years."
[snip]
Such a run could pose a dilemma for Kerry: His Senate seat is up for reelection in 2008, and talk of a presidential campaign could spur challengers from both parties and force him to decide whether to seek reelection or run for the White House. He also would undoubtedly face Democratic challengers for the presidential nomination, including possibly Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and his recent running mate, Senator John Edwards of North Carolina.
[snip]
The former aide said Kerry plans to work closely with Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, who is expected to replace Tom Daschle as Senate Democratic leader, to form the "loyal opposition" to Bush. He also plans to revamp his staff and meet this week with Senate and former campaign aides to plot strategy for his political reemergence.

haha.. Yeah go for it Kerry.
I think Senator Dodd or Bayh will do it next time.
Good. Now we can finally flesh out this "aid and comfort" thing.
Bring it on!
maybe if he left the Senate...he could run. buthe is a proven loser.
Why? It didn't bother Lieberman in 2000.
Yippee, we have 4 years to flush out the REAL military records of JF'nK!!! Freepers get ready to rumble!
Kerry got clobbered. His campaign was in disarray. He ran a stupid convention. He picked a nobody as VP candidate who ended up having ZERO message, zero constituency, and zero debating skills.
He's got the same chance to come back that Michael Dukakis does.
I am shocked, shocked that Sen Kerry has given conflicting responses. Perhaps there is a nuance we are missing here in the red states.
The press is so obnoxious when it starts these stories - and they are just that - Stories.
I am certain Kerry will never run again, including running for Senate. He was too tired for this run, he is a whiner at heart and seems to go through the motions with no heart, and his wife was a liability. (Just my .02 of course:)
Pigs flying is concievable -- but do we really want it?
We could expect Kerry to go deeply negative against Hillary!, which nobody has yet had the guts to do in a campaign. It would be Kerry's self destruction, but it would take her out in the process.
Two birds, one stone. I like that math!
All true, but I already miss Terayzah.
By '08, Kerry's kind of lying liberalism will be extinct. If he did run, his vote tally would be less than Lyndon LaRouche.
He will be 64 in 2008, one year younger than Ronald Reagan when he ran for president in 1976.
And TerryKerry will be 69 going on 70. So many mansions, so little time. Why would she want to countenance spending 4 years in a dumpy little place like the WH?
Since the "church lady" left SNL, I've missed her.
Maybe they could bring TayRaySah in as "The Campaign Lady."
:>)
"Nicholson was having a bad day. Breakfast had been late and rushed and not quite right for the senator. In the van, Kerry was working his cell phone and heard the beep signaling that the phone was running out of juice. "Marvin, charger," he said without turning around. "Sorry, I don't have it," said Nicholson, who was sitting in the rear of the van. Now Kerry turned around. "I'm running this campaign myself," he said, looking at Nicholson and the other aides. "I get myself breakfast. I get myself hairbrushes. I get myself my cell-phone charger. It's pretty amazing." In silent frustration, Nicholson helplessly punched the car seat."
Would Kerry be running for "President" or "Upper-Class Twit of the Year" in 2008?
You forget one important fact. We don't have Kerry's military records, but Hellery does. She knows exactly what was reported by his superiors about his war record and his discharge. Hellery knows everything about her enemies and she will use it.
He will be even uglier in 2008.
