They are terrorists not "insurgents." They are not objecting to the occupation of their country, because its not their country. First, most of the terrorists we are fighting now are not from Iraq - we killed quite of few of the local terrorists over the past year. Second, the country belongs to Iraq not the Muslim terrorists seeking to obtain control. Third, it is Iraq troops, under the control of the Iraq goverment that are attacking the terrorists - with the assistance of other countries. Thus, your main premise implying they are defending their country from foreign invasion is false and misleading.
We have the hospital so there won't be any lies coming out about civilian casualties. That was a very smart move.
Indeed it was.
The media isnt mentioning that all important tidbit much.
"I got myself a real juicy target," shouted Sgt James Anyett, peering through the thermal sight of a Long Range Acquisition System (LRAS) mounted on one of Phantom's Humvees. "Prepare to copy that 89089226. Direction 202 degrees. Range 950 metres. I got five motherf****** in a building with weapons." A dozen loud booms rattle the sky and smoke rose as mortars rained down on the co-ordinates the sergeant had given. "Yeah," he yelled. "Battle Damage Assessment - nothing. Building's gone. I got my kills, I'm coming down. I just love my job."
These guys are into it. After having been held back and occasionally picked off by eids etc, they finally get to open a can and their enemies are paying the fiddler.
I think it was a Kiowa...the pilot was able to land and is safe....if you hear differently, let me know.
Led by a Jordanian (actually, Palestinian) terrorist aligned with Osama Bin Laden?
Forces made up of as much as 30% foreigners?
I don't think they are either insurgents or resistance. I think you need to rethink your support for giving them some sort of noble appellation.
Greg Palcott (FoxNews embed) said last nite in Fallujah was 'shock and awe'.
While he was giving his live report about an hour ago, in the background were a few soldiers/Marines sleeping on the ground, getting some much needed rest.
Greg said they had operated on 2 hours sleep previously.
It is just after 6 PM in Bagdad now. Palcott on now reporting an 'eerie calm.' Night just falling. No pedestrians or vehicles on the streets.
Palcott called it 'hell and fury' last night during the 'shock and awe'.
Greg Palcot....6pm Iraq time....calm...eery calm....we are getting ready for another tough mission tonight.......
"Loose lips sink ship" means we are not going to really know what is going on in Falluja until it is over.
We will get the bones they throw us but no where near the whole picture.
We & the Iraqi's have small units in the city that we will never hear about.
I see the media is up to it's old tricks, reporting U.S.casualities and not the terrorists killed or captured.
"Rumors can sink ships"
You give a great and measured response to these "not terrorist" arguments. Thanks for your vigilance.

ALL THE WAY
When cast in that light, the non-violent pimps for Saddam (MMoore/ Scott Ritter/ Timothy McVeigh/ Etc) are cast in the same light.

It is time to learn how to fight a real war rather than a shoot'em-up video game.
This battle has more aspects than simply killing the terrorists in Fallujah. You clearly have no concept of that. You may not like it, but the foolish method of "fire all the ammo you've got" only works in fantasy worlds, not in the real world of fighting a real war.
