I have homosexual friends.
My kids have homosexual teachers.
On my street are many homosexual couples with children.
I am a lifelong Southerner.
I own guns.
I like country music, opera and Bruce Hornsby and the Range.
I love dry red wine. I also love beer. I also love single malt scotch.

I can do the New York Times crossword puzzle in fifteen minutes.
I understand derivatives.
I trade futures.
I am one of those stupid, ignorant Southerners who voted for Bush.
sheeeeze! will you get off it...
LOL Talk about a stomach dropper. My father-in-law only has 2 boys.
But trust me, I love my FIL and think he is one of the smartest people in the world. It was meant purely as a compliment.
You aren't one of those who can fix anything and want to?
I voted for Bush for one simple reason. Even if a decision he makes now and then is wrong, he at least makes decisions and they are made because he believes what he is doing is right for the country. He never puts his finger to the wind to see what is going to make him look good. It's called leadership, something that was in short supply in the 90's.
It would absolutely be a hoot because I am pretty sure I have a handle on my children and inlaws. Maybe not though. If anyone would give me a list of unaccounted-for relatives I will be happy to be a father, inlaw or counselor for them. LOL. I AM a non-sequitur.
Get off what?
Props to you, dear, for having the courage to question "conventional" wisdom and "conventional" answers for hard issues.
Asexual occurs for a lot of us after a bad relationship/s. For three years, I honestly didn't want to be involved with anyone. But thank God, I found someone who made me feel differently about it! And you will, too. When the time is right, you will be blessed...
As a Christian I admire you, and pray that Iran will some day be free as well.
And I don't need to feel defensive about being a conservative. After all - there are more of US than THEM.
I voted for Bush because:
1. Abortion, and rejection of Jurists that legislate from the bench.
2. We could not stand to have another group of cabinet appointees as pathetic as Clinton had, and thats what we would have received with Kerry.
3. I rejected the left and the media and the Hollywierd types lying to me about the President. The more they told me I should not vote for Bush the more I was determined to crawl across broken glass to do so. Abu Ghraib made me more resolved to vote for Bush not less resolved.
4. The Iraq War was something that needed to be done and it was one of the most exciting moments of my life. I am impressed that we finally had a President that had the balls to do the right thing.
5. Europe and the world did not want Bush. I could not think of a better reason to vote for him.
6. Giving Yasser Arafat the respect he deserved, none. This animal is responsible for a lot of the turmoil the world is in now and Bush is the first world leader outside of ISrael to call him on it.
Reasons that did not factor into my voting for Bush:
1. Hating gays. I am noncommittal about gays. Just live your lives, do your thing and keep your D**ks out of my face.
2. The fear that Hilaarry Clinton would be in a better position is Bush won than if he lost.
I did report the first one, but no one who I talked to really believed me. (It was something like 7 years ago) As for the second, well, it may not be prosecutable because I have no idea where the guy is now. What do you suggest?

It doesn't matter if the guy is not in the jurisdiction. If he shows up again when you are much older, there will be an official record of your report, which will stand if you choose to bring a case later.
I have just spent a week covering a sexual abuse trial whereby the perpetrator was acquitted on the grounds of previous reportage of abuse from the victim.
Even if he's not about, report the abuse NOW!
Alright, I will.
ok - thanks.. guess I can start unwinding, find some wine & get some sleep.. I have already found in my 1+ years at FR some small world situations... amazing.
LOL. I guess that I am unique on this board. I live in a community that is rife with gays and lesbians. At first I didn't like it one bit. Now I really don't mind it. My children are used to it. They are not gay, go figure. They actually make fun of it. (Oh, no , I shouldn't say that.) But they are so used to it that it isn't a factor anymore. t
I voted for George Bush because ;Michael Moore, Bruce Springsteen, P. Diddy, Paris Hilton, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Bar- bra Streisand, Jon Bon Jovi, Uma Thurman, Kirsten Dunst, Leonardo DiCaprio, Teresa Heinz Kerry, Ron Reagan, MoveOn.organd Dan Rather TOLD ME NOT TO!
But, just because I voted for Bush doesn't mean I'm not stupid...

I graduated High School at age 15.

And I voted for Bush would have slid through broken glass on my belly to do so.
