Ignorant would be not understanding a culture. One does not have to participate to gain knowledge. For example: How can you understand the New Testament's use of Judas' kiss to Christ unless you understood the semetic (though it is found in other cultures as well) custom of greeting with a kiss?

Isn't that something he would have to take in the early stages of the disease? If so, it is possible that (i) Arafat refused to consider the possibility that he had AIDS until it was too late and/or (ii) he was so afraid of people finding out about the AIDS that he didn't want to risk someone seeing the AIDS cocktail. While a normal person wouldn't have acted that way, Arafat is a Muslim and a nutjob.

Taoist books I have read (kind of like Chinese yoga...) stated that same sex acts - especially men with men - create serious psychological imbalance, leading to over aggression, anger, and even psychosis.

And Ayurveda (traditional medical science of India) states that same sex acts cause not only physical illness but mental illness as well. Darkens the mind and heart. Actually says that oral sex, anal sex and masturbation cause the above, whoever/whatever they're done with/to. But same sex is even more dangerous.
