Which Fox News anchors/reporters/pundits/hosts do you think are really, sincerely right-leaning? (VANITY)

We probably all prefer Fox News over CNN, CNBC, the network news shows, etc.

But I was wandering as I was watching the election night coverage and Brit Hume seemed so giddy with excitement when Bush started to pull away - what are the true political leanings of the Fox News staff?

My take:

Bill O'Reilly - Basically a slightly left-leaning Libertarian redeemed by a belief in a vigorous American foreign policy and a sneering content for the MSM

Brit Hume - love the guy....with us 100%, I believe...I LOVED the way he interacted in such an over-the-top way with Susan Estritch on election night basically wiping her face with Kerry's loss....

Fred Barnes - same as Brit, 'red' to the core....but fair and honest in his analysis..

Shep Smith - seems to also take glee in Democratic pain but not so sure....his very patriotic stances make me think he's one of us, though...

Sean Hannity - no issues with Sean....

Morton Kondracke - middle of the road leftie but fair....

Greta Van Susteren - big time left winger if I had to guess...

Juan Williams - leftie....no doubt about it....

What do you all think???

I wonder about Dari Alexander...she certainly is one of the prettiest women on TV that passes for "black" in my humble opinion.

Even with glasses on now and the lightened hair.

O'Butthead was a traitor over the Swifties....he needs to be kicked out the door rolling and someone like Laura Ingram brought on.

I think Hume and Gibson are the best.

Krauthammer is great but alas....a gun grabber.

I also beefed with him over the Passion.

Everything you wrote explains why Greta responds to her emails in such a snarky way. Not to mention illiterate.

Does anyone know or have an opinion about Wendell Goler? I like him but have no hint of his leanings.

Krauthammer and Kondracke and PJ O'rourke and I think Juan....and a bunch of others I can't recall now are vets of The New Republic from the 80s when Peretz ran a more moderate ship there.

Hope that before this thread dies out, someone will comment of Shep's "G-spot" faux-pax. He has a tendency to step on his ... now and then!

E. D. grew up in a Democrat house. She is a security Mom. That + more is somewhere in this thread but can't remember where.

As I remember the event: Carl wrote some comments on his laptop, supposed to be for himself, and "somehow" they became public. May have been about the manicure before the 1st debate in Coral Gables. Is this it?

I'd have to agree with your assessment.

I avoid her and my experiences with Scientologists are bad....very bad.

Ohhhhhhh, maggiefluffs, thank you so very much for that. Tony Snow is BY FAR the sexiest, smartest, sanest & most genuinely decent guy on TV. I have had a massive crush on him since before he ever got the gig at Fox and was just a writer. (And I guess since he was my 'first', I just can't forget him - noone else comes close!)

Is this it?

Could be. My memory is pathetic. I just remember some brouhaha and whining by the Kerry people.

he gives off a left leaning air but is hardly as bad as an MSM t-head.

Video link re: J Lo in 2001 is on here somewhere. The 11/3 re: 'GUARANTEE he (Bush) never thought he'd be making this speech' try the 250 - 300 group, I think

May have been about the manicure before the 1st debate in Coral Gables. Is this it?

From the NYT:

The article, posted on Friday on foxnews.com, was written by Carl Cameron, the chief political correspondent for Fox News, and included several bogus quotes from Mr. Kerry, supposedly assessing his performance in the debate.

"Didn't my nails and cuticles look great? What a good debate!" the article quoted Mr. Kerry, the Democratic candidate, as telling his supporters in Florida after the event.

"Women should like me! I do manicures," the story also quoted him as saying. It also had Mr. Kerry contrasting himself with President Bush: "I'm metrosexual - he's a cowboy."

TY Possibly FOX released his notes from the campaign trail. Some were 'somehow' released after 1st debate and it caused a bruhaha in the K camp. I maintain Carl Cameron & the Kerry secret service must be elated to return to civility. Then something happened the last week on the campaign plane bet. someone from FOX & a K staffperson -- never did hear what that was about.
