BOOKIES SAY HILLARY FAVORITE FOR 2008

Britain's Scotsman reports that Hillary Clinton today was named favorite to win the next U.S. presidential vote in 2008 after George Bush won re-election to the White House.

The wife of former President Bill Clinton was installed at 5-to-1 odds by the betting agency Ladbrokes and 6-to-1 by William Hill to take over from Bush after his second term.

Bush was Ladbrokes' favorite for the whole of the election campaign. It's estimated that some 8 million pounds was spent wagering the U.S. election.

Ladbrokes has Hillary Clinton at 5-1 followed by former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani at 7-1 and Kerry running mate John Edwards at 8-1.

Ashcroft is too polarizing. Alot of people don't like him. Attorney General is the most hated person. I like John Ashcroft but I wouldn't want his job!

Mitt would be an interesting choice. He may be able to take a New England state or two. Romney/Rice ?

I'd be willing to bet folding money that it'll be Rudy Guiliani/Bill Owens, in whichever order.

Just don't think Rice will be around to run. I think she is going to go back to teaching. I think she hates the political life!

It is going to be JEB. Karl Rove already decided.

Lordy, I hope you're kidding. It really is time for a dynasty/regime change and some fresh faces/ideas in D.C. We've had Bushes in there, on and off, for 24 years already (does anybody but me ever stop to think about that?), with 4 more to go.

There must be alternatives with a different last name.

And don't say "Dole"!

If you think conservatives turned out to beat down Kerry, wait until Hillary is the nominee. You've never seen negative turnout like that which would occur for that race.

Nobody but hardcore libs likes that woman.

It's not exactly rocket science to figure that one out.

Someone needs to do a cost analysis of every election they have campaigned for and lost. I am worried people in the democratic party will wake up. But as long as they have that same huge pride we are safe.

I think for the dems, Bob Kerrey would be a good choice. For us, Santorum.

Giulliani/Schwarzenegger for GOP 2008

Sorry, that is one ticket this Republican would not vote for. Talk about RINO's. I am not interested in a RINO president any more than I am in a "moderate democrat" president. Also don't count on the conservative vote backing two pro-abort. politicians.

Kerrey tried and lost. Hillary is their secret weapon. She can raise money and will have her husband out on the trail with her. It will be a Democrat's dream! Remember we have to think the way they think. You have to figure if you were a Dem who would you want running!

Jeb locks down Florida. That means we shift the battle primarily to RAT turf from day one.

We win when the fight is on RAT turf, not on our turf. Jeb at the top would FORCE Hillary to run the table by taking Ohio and the upper Midwest.
