To the Swifties, and to all Vietnam Vets, Thank You.

40 years ago, you answered the call of your country with heads held high. Young and full of American promise you were, off to fight against tyranny in a far off land for someone you'd never met.

You endured the hell that is War, fighting with honor and victory even as your friends fell by your side. You did it for those fallen brothers, for the South Vietnamese who could not fight, most of all for your children so they wouldn't have to fight in their time.

You came home to a country who's people were torn by that war, many of them having forgotten the cost that freedom carries, many of them forgetting the scars you carried.

40 years. A Generation ago. Many had conveniently forgotten VietNam... had chosen to forget you.

But you did not forget.

One of your own, and yet also not of your own - because he is without honor - attempted to usurp America today and was defeated. Because of you.

Having once served alongside you, then afterwards soiling your sacrifices with lies, still afterwards giving aid and comfort to the very same enemy you had together fought against, his lust for power compelled him to become our Commander in Chief. In his attempted grab for power, he dared to take the honor he had once stolen from you and reclaim it for himself.

You knew this could not stand, and unbidden by anyone or anything save for your honor (which you knew you had never lost...), you came forward to answer - again!!! - America's need for truth and heroism in it's warriors. You spoke the truth that we had forgotten. As when you had returned home from that far off jungle, you again endured ridicule and insult from many of our fellow citizens... but still you fought with words of truth.

George Bush's victory today comes from the efforts of many, many people... and most of all, I am most proud and humbled to say that it comes from a group of Vets who - though forgotten by many in America - never themselves stopped loving America.

Heroes. You are mine and our Heroes. 40 years ago. Today. And Forever.

Que Dios siempre los bendiga y los guarde en la Palma de su Mano Derecha.

Dear veteran, the Leftist lies about you guys who served in Vietnam have been forever discredited. America rejected the horrible slander unfairly impugning the good and honorable service of America's great Veterans of the campaigns in SE Asia. I did my small part by voting for President Bush yesterday, all the while keeping in mind Hanoi John's 30 year old slanderous meme. Americans celebrate the service of the veterans of Vietnam today. Finally, a preponderance of the people have lifted the veil of Leftism's smear and lies against the noblest of America's veterans, the good and honorable U.S. military veterans of the war in Vietnam. Every day I thank God that I was born in the United States, and I can't even begin to thank you guys enough for what you did, then and now. God bless and keep you all the rest of your days. With humble gratitude to you guys, THANK YOU.

My sincere thanks to your late Dad. He obviously did a fine job. Yesterday a wooden stake was driven through the black heart of Leftist lies about the decent and honorable service that the overwhelming numbers of veterans of the wars in SE Asia performed in service to the United States. Once and for all. The Left is dead. And your dad helped. And so are you. My thanks to the great veterans of the Vietnam War. THANK YOU!

I told many people of my dismay at being called a war criminal by a candidate for president of the greatest country ever to grace this planet. I don't know if I changed any votes, but it opened a lot of conversations.

Michael Savage just said that the Swift Vets deserve special recognition for their part in electing George W. Bush and defeating Kerry:

"They shot their torpedoes into his campaign...and believe me, they hit home."

THANK YOU SWIFT BOAT VETS!

These were the real heroes...they didnt falter, even when the fight got ugly...then or now...they didnt quit, but kept their heads held high and bravely faced whatever was thrown at them. They deserve medals of bravery for combat with hostile forces this time around too. And our undying respect and admiration. Welcome home! America loves you!
