To the DUmmies, the "mainstream" is that yellow trickle running out of the alleys, and down the sidewalks of San Francisco.

Interesting about the messages here...
The are broke and jobless, or in debt and it is everyone's fault but theirs.

Think your husband will go with you? Sounds like he might be glad your leaving.

I promise my husband I will stay long enough to get him out of the debt we find ourselves in then I will leave. I don't know which country will accept me but I know I cannot leave in a country that will continue to claim to be for all people but in reality doesn't not practice what it says.
I predict that within a week of a declaring a win Bush will invade another country, and within 18 months people will see more and more rights slowly slipping away. Freedom of speech and separation of Church and state will be the next things to go. Enjoy this forum while you can.
even if Kerry somehow does pull out the win nothing will change that much.
I lost my faith in all religions several years ago and I have lost faith in this country and this world now.
My how rotten they are from within. They're a party made of people built on a swamp. It's breathtaking how selfish and ignorant these extra-terrestrials are.

Just a guess, but I don't think he'll be returning to the senate after his term is up. Oh darn!
Do you think he'll return to the Senate BEFORE his term is up? Or do you suppose he will just bow out now and continue to collect his paycheck like he has for the past year and a half?

Does this mean they're canceling the carpools to the riots?

The 2008 primaries will be interesting. I think we're going to wind up with Giuliani.

I'm tired of hearing "We need a candidate who can win".
How about a candidate that can lead? That is worthy to follow? That goes for _all_ parties, large and small. I'm a Bush supporter, but who's on the horizon for us?

At least many of them now have the same opinion of Kerry as we always did.
Went to Barbra Streisand's site. Nothing new since October 26. I don't expect to see any response posted there.

I can't remember the exact specifics as to why they set up as Democratic Underground but they stated the main reason was because they thought President Bush was "selected, not elected". They said Gore was their President. President Bush's solid win and vindication in this election destroys their reason for being by making their entire premise false.
To: politicalmerc
DU actually created a special board called "Help and Support" for those who are emotionally distraught by the Bush win and are seeking help and support.
Guess they'll supply some message board shrinks to counsel them.

It goes without saying that unchecked governmental power is no problem for those pinheads, but corporate power (within the law)? That's a problem!!!
