IYHO, WHAT WAS KERRY'S BIGGEST MISCALCULATION?
11/3/04

Posted on 11/03/2004 4:41:04 AM PST by Liz

Clearly, the Kerry campaign machine paled next to the brilliant assault commanded by Bush and Karl Rove.

I would say the number one miscalculation was that the Kerry people severly underestimated the burning desire in the American electorate for the restoration of moral values.

It was significant---and redounded in Bush's favor---that ballot questions in 10-12 states to outlaw same sex marriages brought out committed Christians in droves.

These Christians came out to vote for traditional marriage and overwhelmingly drove the vote home for Bush.

Also significant was the Bush effect in Black churches ---normally Dim strongholds.

GWB's strong moral commitment resonated in those churches by strongly religious Black believers who wanted no truck with gay marriages. Our Black co-religionists had also been betrayed by Rev Jesse Jackson and his extra-marital fatherhood.

Kerry alone is a miscalculation.
He was our miscalculation.
How could such a weak candidate control such a significant number of votes in this country?
What's up with America that we almost elected someone so lacking in leadership, ethics and accomplishment?
Do demographics point to a return to "Tammany Hall" politics?
Let the victory celebration be very short.
We've got lots of work to do.

That opinion seems to be universal (snicker).

The Kerry campaign made so many mistakes. But we made so many mistakes too. Thank goodness we won.

Constantly calling the president a LIAR with nothing to back it up.
Especially the "missing" explosives story...he was like a pit bull with that non-story!

He kept saying in the debates that he had some kind of "plan" but he only suceeded in appearing like a bored waiter at a snobby French restaurant reading off the day's specials.

Biggest mistake: Talking about Mary Cheney during the debates.

If we'd speak with Vanessa Kerry, I'm sure she'd tell us she's glad her father couldn't destroy her when she was an embryo in order to "help other people walk."

Thinking that he could ruin the reputation of this country's great armed services and then trying to be their commander-in-chief.

Thank you Swifets and POW's for truth!!!

I'll say it again: If the internal polls showing Bush up 10% with the Catholic vote in the battleground states is accurate, then Kerry's biggest mistake was the betrayal of his own faith.

I hope he does some soul-searching and I pray that he will have a great conversion. No one is beyond redemption.

But thank, you Kerry, for being the imbecile that you are.
God still loves you, but you are one dope.

well, in Oklahoma, there were long lines.

Since this is Bush country, usually the church people stay at home, since they tend to be apolitical. However, the threat of the activist Court and the liberal imposition of gay marriage, abortion etc brought them out.

as a result of prolife ads, Coburn won over Carson, who is a conservative democrat. Heck, Carson knew the Christian prolife vote was going against him because he accused Dr. Coburn of sterilizing a lady twenty years ago (she had a tubal pregnancy, i.e. the embryo got stuck in the tube of the uterus probably due to scarring from infection or endometriosis, and when he removed the tube with the pregnancy, he removed the other tube which was also badly scarred. The lady and Carson made a big thing about it, but most Okies saw thru the lie)

Indeed, Daschle, who is at heart prolife, lost in SD because to become a bigshot in the Dem party he had to vote for abortion. And essentially that is why he lost.
