Poor Fox News...
Fox News | 11/3/04

I feel bad for folks in Fox News Channel. They know for real that Bush won IA and NM. Yet, they cannot do that without also declaring Bush the winner and have their banner moving across the screen "BUSH RE-ELECTED". At the same time, they don't want to look partisan by being the only network that declares Bush Re-election.

"I don't understand why Fox thinks it might appear "partisan." If it were merely projecting a win based on statistics, that would be different. But to state the FACTS is merely good honest journalism.

Maybe Fox fears an accusation of committing good honest journalism!"

Bunch of bed wetters!

I think you guys are overreacting. New Mexico hasn't been called because the Secretary of State closed the office and went home for the night to get some sleep. This was before all the votes came in from the northern part of the state. The office closed knowing the votes hadn't all arrived and been counted. At least that's what they said. Brit Hume and his panel looked at each other dumbfounded like "What are they thinking?" (in New Mexico) They had nothing to report, so without all the votes in and with the margin closing, they didn't call it.

They were the first network to call Ohio for Dubya and I was really impressed with that when all the rest of the Kerry kissers weren't giving the President a single electoral vote out of the Buckeye state. I think Fox has done a great job overall.

NM was held off in 2000, too.
This is such garbage.

Almost sounds like an excuse -

A backbone would help, maybe -Since I don't understand why they listen to the PC crowd - Now if there was some reason to believe Ohio was still up for grabs - I'd say they might have a case - but everyone in Ohio is saying it just isn't possible for Kerry to overcome the lead President Bush has in the state - not with PBs -

Nevada reads 51% to 48 - in favor of President Bush - I'd like to hear how many ABs or PBs ballots are in need of counting yet - haven't heard that mentioned - and why did that fact come out at the very last minute in the media - almost as an excuse for not calling it

Interesting days ahead - no matter what happens

Gutless wimps.

As for 'effin, some war hero, what true man would send his rent boy out, while sulking at home, too sad and too afraid to face the world.

Before taking FOX to task over the delayed calls for state victories, you might want to check out CNN. They show the election to be much closer.

Last night was the worst night in the history of FOX News. In an effort to appear 'fair and balanced' they jumped the shark for Kerry. I have never been more disappointed in Brit Hume, and the way that he allowed Juan Williams to spew BS all night long. If only there were another network to go to.

Honestly, I thought the Fox folks did a great job. The mood of the panel shifted towards Bush as the results kept coming in. The did a nice job getting people from both campaigns on the air. Michael Barrone was wonderful with his mathematical analysis. I thought they did a very good job.

I had to take the advice of another FReeper last night, and switch to CNN, just for my sanity. I thought FOX was just horrible.

By the time that FOX called Ohio, Brit Hume should have had Juan Williams in a headlock on the floor, pounding him in the head until he said something positive for Bush. I believe that Juan Williams needs to be physically assaulted.
