End of Race Predicitons (For The Record)

Posted on 11/02/2004 9:03:07 PM PST by Jordan_Gustin

Just for the record (and for fun), my predictions for end-of-race EV votes will be 274 Bush and 264 Kerry. The popular vote will be within 200,000 votes.

What do you predict?

I'm also guessing 274. But I'm disappointed - I was hoping for a much more decisive W victory. We are still a deeply divided country. :>(

If Bush wins by one vote I still want him to behave as if he has a mandate. He owes us that!

I know, it's disappointing... :\

But 274 or not, I'd take that over John Kerry as Prez most definitely!!

I think there is going to be some rioting out there. The dems are not at all rational this year.

Yeah, I agree, it's sad. It's gonna end up looking like Florida 2000 all over again. *sigh*
All my friends here at my Texas college are Bush supporters, but they live "too far away" to vote... and they keep saying, "but Bush has Texas, so I'm not worried." Sure... Bush has Texas, but he needs more popular votes so the liberals have less to whine and moan about!! I can't stand the sound of liberal whining! It's painful for me... and I wear hearing aides!!!

Oh, I know and I agree, GW is better than Jokerry any day. Question is why with such a joke of a candidate was it so close this year? I just looked back at 1996 and Clinton won by a much bigger margin than this. And forget the Reaganesque sweeps... I mean, W is a far better prez than Clinton ever was, and as far as being presidential material I think he's as good a leader as Ronnie was. I know Reagan was a better communicator and all.

Yes, I am happy with whatever victory we get, but I think W deserved more than that!!!!!

I agree with you 100%! ;) I think the reason it was so close this year with such a clearly terrible candidate (John Kerry, of course) was because the liberals are too prideful to admit that Bush is a much better leader than Clinton! Like beef said, the libs aren't thinking rationally at all... which is made apparent by the fact that they are voting for John Kerry! Any rational man or woman would never in their right (or left) mind vote for such an America-hating candidate! Just look at his Vietnam war records.

True, Bush could never beat Reagan's communication skills and conservativeness, but like you said, Bush is just as good a leader as Reagan.

By the way, nice to meet you astonberry!

Y'know, looking back to 1992 I'm just amazed at how poorly Bush Sr. did in that election. What does this mean? Does it mean that any conservative candidate simply must be a super-duper powerhouse to have any hope of winning a major electoral victory?

You make the mistake of calling Bush I a conservative candidate.

You're right. I dont' remember the 1992 race that well. It was my first election; I was 19.

Looks like mine and astonberry's predictions came through. I still wish they hadn't though... more EV votes would have been nice. But, no worries anymore!! BUSH IN '04!!!
